📅 - America Online (aol.com), announced the launch of itsHigh-Speed Broadband service over the Time Warner Cable system in Cincinnatiand Greensboro.

AOL High-Speed Broadband combines the advantages of a broadband connectionwith the ease-of-use and community atmosphere that have made AOL the world'smost popular online service. With this broadband service, AOL members canaccess multimedia content, instant messaging and interactive gamingseamlessly integrated into the AOL client software.

AOL's High-Speed services offers consumers a wide range of high-speedcontent through partnerships with media and entertainment leaders. Among theofferings available are news reports and live coverage from CBS News, CNN,and the Weather Channel; Sports highlights and more from the NFL, NBA, andNASCAR, as well as CNNSI, HBO Sports, CBS Sportsline, and Turner Sports;Music videos and more from Get Music and Rolling Stone.com, as well as theRadio@AOL service that will be featured in AOL 7.0; Movie previews, animatedcontent, short video clips, and entertainment news from HBO, Moviefone,Warner Brothers Online, E!, Cartoon Network and others; Business andtechnology news from CBS Marketwatch and CNET; Interactive features andanimated cartoons for Kids from Cartoon Network, Kiddonet and WarnerBrothers Online; and Travel destination guides and previews fromTravelocity.
With the launch later this month of AOL 7.0, high-speed content will be evenmore seamlessly integrated into the world's most popular online service. Adedicated "High-Speed AOL" area will appear as part of the AOL WelcomeScreen and across channels and sites - automatically presenting relevantbroadband content as members explore the service, so that they can accessaudio and video content with a point and click.
Subscribers to the AOL High-Speed Broadband services will pay $44.95 forunlimited use of their broadband account and $2.95 per hour for dial-up use.Members who want to get unlimited broadband connectivity, and unlimitedaccess to AOL's worldwide network of dial-up connections from any location,can choose to pay the single price of $54.95 per month. There are noactivation or cancellation fees.
