📅 December 21, 2001 - Integral Systems, Inc. (integ.com) today announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Newpoint Technologies, Inc.(newpointtech.com) of Salem, New Hampshire in an all-cash deal, subject to the approval of Newpoint's shareholders.

Newpoint is an provider of satellite and terrestrial network managementsystems for control of data, Internet, broadcast, telecom, and hybridnetworks. Newpoint is a major supplier of software and systems for equipmentmonitoring and control and is a recipient of Satellite CommunicationsMagazine's"Most Innovative Product" award in 1999. Newpoint's principalcustomers are commercial satellite operators, telecommunications companies,and broadband service providers.
