Megapath and Radiant to Expand Broadband Reach Across US-Canada Border

📅 January 16, 2002 - MegaPath Networks Inc. (megapath.net), a provider ofbroadband access and network services, and Canada's Radiant CommunicationsInc. (radiant.net -> hostpapa.com), an independent provider of business Internet servicesannounced yesterday they have partnered to expand both companies'international broadband reach.

Radiant will become a MegaPath Access Partner, reselling MegaPath servicesto its distributed enterprise customers for their business broadband needsin the U.S. In turn, MegaPath will refer its own customers to Radiant todeliver broadband and network services for its Canadian branch offices andtelecommuters.
At this time, the relationship is a strategic partnership with futureoptions to expand and enhance the joint venture, the companies said. Thepartnership could further expand to include both companies reselling eachother's services, providing a unified single source to customers seekingbroadband services on either side of the U.S.-Canadian border.
"This partnership was formed due to the similar focus and customer base ofboth companies, as well as comparable network structures, said Jim Grey,president and CEO of Radiant Communications. "Since Radiant is the largestindependent provider of business Internet services in Canada and having thelargest national broadband footprint of any one Canadian service provider,we want to partner with companies who mirror our model. MegaPath can helpenhance our already wide service area by continuing their solid and farreaching service on our behalf in the U.S."
