Reality Networks will deploy its equipment in the NAP, says Terremark, taking advantage of the variety of carriers that provide bandwidth to the facility, as well as the range of value-added managed services offered by Terremark.
This new customer contract, says Terremark, has a minimum aggregate value of $9 million over its five-year life and makes the NAP of the Americas the exclusive US location for Reality Networks.
According to Terremark, Reality Networks has developed video data mining and historical time framing proprietary technologies, as well as a film and video content delivery system to create a solution that allows search and retrieval of rich media content in digitized libraries. Its data management solution for the broadcast industry is especially designed to maximize security, disaster recovery and business continuity while minimizing the risk of downtime.

Terremark says Reality Networks marks the company's first relationship with a company in the broadcast industry customer market.
