May, 2002 : NTT Chooses Check Point for Internet Security

📅 May 30, 2002 - Internet security solutions developer Check Point Software (checkpoint.com) announced on Thursday that Japan-based telecommunications provider NTT Communications Corporation (NTT.com) will incorporate Check Point Provider-1 and FireWall-1 into its new managed security "OCN FireWall Management Service."

According to Check Point, NTT will manage and monitor its customers? security deployments from its network operations center, using Check Point's Provider-1 management architecture. Provider-1, says Check Point, consolidates customer security policies into a centralized policy management architecture, minimizing investment in hardware and labor.
NTT will deploy Check Point's FireWall-1 at customer gateways to ensure that communications attempting to cross from one network to the other meet with the customer's security standards.
NTT says it is pleased to have based its new OCN FireWall Management Service on Check Point's security solutions. The company says the new service will allow NTT to respond to the need for reliable security architecture among its customers.
