📅 June 19, 2007 - Telecommunications provider XO Communications (xo.com ) announced on Monday that it will be recognized with an Eos Award at telecom industry trade show NXTComm (nxtcommshow.com) on June 20.

The Eos Awards are decided and bestowed by NXTComm and honor companies that have developed the most promising new technologies or provided the best new network services and strategic support.

XO Communications will be winning this award for its nationwide deployment of advanced digital optical network technology from digital optical network provider Infinera. The 18,000 mile inter-city network enabled XO to more than double network capacity and significantly accelerate the provisioning and delivery of services.

"It's truly an honor to be recognized by the world's largest telecom trade show and this award acknowledges the tremendous efforts of XO and Infinera in building one of the industry's most advanced digital optical networks," says Randy Nicklas, CTO of XO Communications.
