📅 - IT products and logistics management provider Tech Data Corporation (http://www.techdata.com) announced on Wednesday that it has signed a distribution agreement with computer systems maker Sun Microsystems Inc. (http://www.sun.com).

Through the agreement, Tech Data will carry Sun's new LX50 server and StorEdge 3310 SCSI Array, providing US channel partners with the chance to sell and support advanced server and storage products to small-to-medium sized business markets.
Tech Data will support the LX50 server and StorEdge 3310 SCSI Array through a channel program including technical services, marketing, business development and enterprise-level solutions for reseller customers. Tech Data already supplies its reseller customers with Sun Cobalt appliances.
"Resellers are looking to satisfy end-user customers by providing high- quality, affordable server and storage technologies with enterprise-class performance and management functionality," said Elio Levy, Tech Data's senior vice president of marketing. "From the high-end, to entry-level, Tech Data will now provide resellers with Sun Microsystems technologies that meet the business, technical and cost requirements of SMB customers."
