Jul 24, 2003 : Alabanza Shuts Down Offensive Web Site

📅 July 24, 2003 - The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) announced this week that its request to have an offensive Web site shut down was granted by the host of the domain, Baltimore-based Alabanza Corporation (alabanza.com -> navisite.com).

The ADL said the offending site, hoozajew.org, contained anti-semitic content. It urged Alabanza to shut the site down, citing policies that allow it to shut down Web sites with objectionable material at its discretion.
"We commend Alabanza for its responsiveness to our concerns and its action in taking down the anti-Semitic site," said Abraham H. Foxman, national director of the ADL.
The site claimed to post a list of prominent jews, but was found to list links to racist and anti-semitic Web sites, including the neo-Nazi National Alliance and the Holocaust-denying Institute for Historical Review.
