📅 July 17, 2007 - Dedicated hosting provider The Planet (theplanet.com -> softlayer.com -> ibm.com) announced on Tuesday that it will be promoting its "Lowest Hosting Price on The Planet" special while exhibiting at HostingCon 2007 (hostingcon.com) from July 23 to 25 at the Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois.

Under the promotion, The Planet will be delivering a 10 percent savings for customers who switch from a hosting competitor and each attendee that comes to The Planet's booth and drops off a business card will be entered into a draw to win an 80GB video iPod.
