In his capacity as a board member, Fernandez will serve on the audit and compensation committees. He joins ten other members who were re-elected to the board at the annual stockholders meeting held September 8th. Fernandez is the founder and former head of the international investment banking department at Oppenheimer & Co. Prior to his tenure at Oppenheimer, which included terms as director of operations and chief financial officer, Fernandez held senior management positions with EDS, duPont Glore Forgan, and Thomson McKinnon. "Tony is a tremendous addition to our board," said Manuel D. Medina, chairman and CEO of Terremark. "His broad finance and international investment banking experience will help support the company's goal of expanding our investor base as we continue to grow the company. We look forward to his advice and counsel."
