📅 - NetCarrier (netcarrier.com) yesterday introduced NetVantage, a managed firewall service that protects desktop computers and networks from malicious hack attempts.
The company said the new service, designed for small and medium-sized businesses, is a cost-effective way for SMEs to safeguard sensitive data such as credit card numbers, customer lists and bank account information. "One attack can bring a business to its knees," said Chris Peltier, founder and president of NetCarrier. "NetVantage helps small businesses defend against malicious attacks so they can continue to prosper." NetVantage is monitored 24x7 and backed by NetCarrier technical support. The company is offering free vulnerability assessments with the service. NetVantage is priced at $49.95 per month and does not come with any set-up or installation charges. In conjunction with the launch, NetCarrier announced a partnership with Advanta to market the service to Advanta small business credit card holders.
