😠 My account was suddenly suspended without any reason or notification. Despite opening multiple tickets, I have received no response. I have been a customer for one year, with my subscription valid until 2026. They only respond when you are newly a customer or fully paid in their hosting services.

😁 hostpoco.com is great host
Hostpoco is the better site to host my website. Their price is very affordable and they also offer free hosting services. More so, their customer service is even better. Their support is always quick in responding to my tickets. Then, their interface is very easy to use. I will always recommend hostpoco to many people, any time!

(3*) 🔧 Services: Web HostingDomain RegistrationHostPoco is now a historical / inactive web hosting brand in its original form. The old hostpoco.com business no longer operates as the broad low-cost hosting provider that previously offered Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, VPS Hosting, Dedicated Servers, WordPress Hosting, Domain Registration and SSL Certificates. In 2026, the HostPoco brand and intellectual property were acquired by Marketing the Change, a Liverpool-based WordPress agency founded by Josh Morley. After that acquisition, the domain was rebuilt around managed WordPress hosting, making the original HostPoco operation closed, replaced, or absorbed rather than active under the same business model.
The original HostPoco timeline is somewhat mixed. Business profiles placed the company’s start around 2017 in Long Island, New York, while historical domain data shows hostpoco.com was registered on September 2, 2018. The original founder was not clearly documented in reliable public profiles. The brand became known mostly through hosting directories, low-cost hosting communities, free-hosting listings and promotional pages focused on extremely cheap hosting.
At its peak, HostPoco promoted itself as a budget hosting provider with more than 950 hosted websites and 1,350 registered domains. Their strongest selling point was the unusually low entry price, including a lifetime free hosting plan and paid hosting from around half a dollar per month. This made HostPoco attractive for beginners, students, small personal websites, test projects and customers who wanted a very cheap starting point before upgrading to a larger hosting provider.
The old product range was broad for such a low-cost company. Shared Hosting was available for both Linux and Windows, with SSD and HDD-based plans. Linux HDD shared hosting used RAID 10 storage and included phpMyAdmin, virus scanning, DDoS protection, Softaculous and a free site builder. SSD Linux hosting focused more on speed, Cloudflare integration, backup restore options and better performance. Windows shared hosting supported ASP.NET, MySQL Web Admin and older PHP versions.
Reseller Hosting was also available on Linux and Windows. Linux reseller packages used HDD or SSD storage and included features such as Free SSL, Free Data Migration, Free Dedicated IP, WHM, and, on higher plans, a free domain and private nameservers. SSD reseller plans added unlimited-style allocations such as unlimited FTP accounts, mailing lists, email accounts, MySQL databases and bandwidth, together with security tools like virus scanning and SpamAssassin.
Their VPS Hosting used OpenVZ virtualization with SSD/HDD storage, full root access, IP address allocation and free rDNS. Customers could add resources such as DirectAdmin, cPanel/WHM licenses and extra IP addresses. Dedicated Servers included root access, premium bandwidth and pre-installed server tools such as Apache, PHP, Perl and MySQL. Add-ons and upgrades were available for customers who needed more resources later.
Before the acquisition, HostPoco’s reputation had become uneven. Earlier feedback often focused on the very low prices and generous feature lists, while later customer experiences became more critical, especially around support, cancellations and service reliability. This makes the 2026 acquisition feel less like a simple rebrand and more like a clear separation between the old budget hosting provider and the new WordPress-focused HostPoco.
💰 Price & Cost
HostPoco’s old pricing was one of its main advantages. Shared hosting started from around $0.50/month, with a free hosting plan also available. Historical pricing references also showed WordPress hosting from around $0.50/month, reseller hosting from around $3/month, VPS hosting from around $14.99/month, and dedicated servers from around $80/month.
Payment methods included PayPal, VISA, MasterCard and Western Union. The standard refund policy included a 30-day money-back guarantee, while dedicated servers had a shorter 7-day refund window.
The pricing was attractive for small websites and testing environments, but it also came with the natural limitations of ultra-budget hosting. For personal projects and simple websites, the cost was hard to beat. For serious business hosting, the later support and reliability complaints made the old HostPoco less convincing.
🏢 Data Center
HostPoco was historically connected with Long Island City, New York, USA, and used Tier 1 data center environments with redundant network providers. The old platform also offered server locations across several regions, including the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Portugal, Poland, Netherlands, Lithuania, Italy, Ireland, France, Finland, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic and Belgium.
The old hosting service carried a 99.99% uptime guarantee. Reliability features included SSD hosting, RAID 10 storage on selected plans, DDoS protection, Cloudflare integration and backup restore options.
The current post-acquisition HostPoco is different. It now operates as a managed WordPress hosting brand powered by WP Cloud by Automattic, with a new 99.9% uptime position, daily backups, free SSL, malware scanning and CDN features. This belongs to the new HostPoco identity, not to the old shared/reseller/VPS/dedicated hosting business.
✍️ Customer Support
The old HostPoco support options included *email, live chat, ticket system, phone* and social media channels such as Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. They also maintained FAQ and pre-sales help sections for common hosting questions.
Support quality appears to have declined over time. Early users often appreciated the low-cost entry point and basic hosting help, while later feedback became much more negative, especially around unanswered requests, cancelled services and account-related problems. This is one of the main reasons the original HostPoco should not be evaluated as a stable current hosting company.
The new 2026 WordPress-focused HostPoco offers support through email and live chat depending on plan level, but this belongs to the rebuilt managed WordPress service under Marketing the Change.
🔨 Control Panel
HostPoco used mainstream hosting control panels. Shared and reseller hosting commonly relied on cPanel/WHM, while Windows hosting used Plesk. VPS customers could also purchase DirectAdmin or cPanel/WHM licenses as optional add-ons.
For beginners, cPanel and the free website builder made the old shared hosting service easy to manage. For resellers, WHM access, private nameservers, free SSL and migration support made the packages practical for small web designers or low-budget hosting resellers.
🎯 Conclusion
HostPoco was once a very affordable hosting provider with a broad portfolio for its price range. Its strongest historical advantages were the free hosting plan, extremely cheap shared hosting, Linux and Windows options, SSD/HDD plans, reseller hosting, VPS plans, dedicated servers, cPanel/WHM, Plesk, free SSL, DDoS protection and a 99.99% uptime guarantee. The main weakness was long-term trust. HostPoco gained visibility through aggressive pricing and generous feature lists, but later customer feedback raised concerns about support quality and reliability. By 2026, the original business identity had effectively ended, and the domain entered a new phase after acquisition by Marketing the Change.
For historical purposes, HostPoco remains an interesting example of a budget/free-hosting brand that attracted attention through very low prices and broad hosting features. The current HostPoco website is a new managed WordPress hosting service, not the same old shared/reseller/VPS/dedicated hosting company in its original form.
