😁 The people complaining should really just be quiet, its the best free hosting available that I found and altrough its not perfect it works like it should and its free! I mean you should probably not use it for websites that run in production because they get taken down after inactivity and they do have a small ad at the bottom of the page. You can get rid of the ad with a little bit of regex tho but I really think you shouldn't. Its awesome for testing and school projects tho and I believe that is exactly what its aimed at, if you expect full on free hosting without ads and with no archiving ect please snap back into reality because this is as good as it gets!

It has been hosted for free by 000webhost.com until 000webhost/Hostinger unexpectedly took the website offline and put it "to sleep" and holds it for ransom unless we "wake it up" within a matter of hours by signing up for a fee-based Hosting hosting account. 😠 Удаляют сайты за некоторый период неактивности (причём письма об этом на GMail попадают с спам). Возможности восстановить (или хотя бы использовать старое имя сайта) нет.
Поддержка работает неудобно - через форум.
Периодически сайт "лежал" или работал очень медленно.

😁 The reason I like this site is that I do not need to use someone else's template. I can write the code in HTML and CSS and edit it right online as needed. For a free website I can also put up all the pages I need and not be limited to just 3 or 5. It is great for a tiny nonprofit youth group that has no money to put into a website.

1) Their banner on the free hosting account
2) For every 24hrs, your website will go off an hour.
But I'v not find any better free deal anywhere.

It enables you to learn from the ground up html, php, and mysql, and its uptime is impressive for a free service (down 1hr per 24, I believe).

I have never had a outage and the speeds I get makes it ez to host anything from motion gif to videos. I love the data base system they supply its good for a small site or just testing.

😃 What i like about 000webhost - Most features can be used for free, you can add up to two websited for free, a small database, password lock a part of your website all for free. Of course it is limited, but so far i haven't had any downsides on this.
Why others should try it - because you can try every feature for free as long as you want, no expiration.
What 000webhost helped me achieve - an online website i can edit whenever i want.

I found this one the best among others i have tried, because you don't need a premium subscription to test the features, not only they have a professional website, they really are. I'm sure i am going to use the premium when i need to (and have anough money for it ;)).

the only downside i have found so far is that FTP every once in a while is down, but the online file manager still works, so you can still edit your website.

I'm using their free hosting to host my website for over a year now. They don't provide live support but their forum support is real fast admins try to resolve your issue. I have tried other hosting providers most of them don't allow you to point domain or change url. Tutorials also available in forum support regarding ssl wordpress errors. I'm using wordpress blog after full optimization using my blog's loading speed is Rated A and Y slow score is rated B at Gtmetrix site. Best thing i like about them is their support through forums even if they are providing free hosting. Sometimes server goes down but it's gonna happen with free hosting still it provides much better hosting than other free providers. Even if i join some hosting for a basic plan they will provide me with same services and only 1 website. With 000webhost i can host 2 free sites. The site was ideal for faculty in Mexico because i would be working on the website and then leave it to see how students and other people would visit the site without having to update it frequently for the remaining six months. Although I tried a number of others at first, they all had a negative aspect which I didn't like. They were not easy to deal with.

😃 There are some nigggles: it can be a bit slow (file manager, for example) and your websites are required to 'sleep' for an hour a day if you're on the free plan, but these are small things when you compare the ease of use, flexibility, and features that 000WebHost provide.

Here's what I use it for: testing concepts. Yes, you can only have 2 web sites on the go (for free), but if one looks like it would make it in the real world, then you'll need to upgrade anyway to get your custom domain!

I've never had an issue with uptime (or downtime), questions get answered, as far as I can see, and they offer some great ways to get started. Recommended.

Moving from hostinger, this is quite ok. The free plan eventhough has 1 hour of sleep time, still has a lot of functionalities and services. I tried it with my IoT project and had to request API and this webhost is the only free one that worked. (Actually i was quite lazy to search for others)

Tried many "free" hosting servers. Most of them arent realy free, or they used to be free hosting, but not any more. I installed joomla on 000webhost.com, and I didint believe it could be working. File manager is very easy to use, also filezila works excellent and fast. You get 1000 MB free storage. Database also easy to use. Good thing that you get free domain, and also you can connect to other domain. Im not even thinking about changing my hosting server!

From 000webhostapp.com/, I can see all my files and run html, view images, etc. but can't modify or upload anything. I get "no index.php or index.html file" but "create file" doesn't help. Also I get "Log in details are not correct" when I try to use file manager.

000webhost.com is all I ever wanted. They give unlimited free hosting, which I can use for as long as I want. So, I have all the time in the world to implement my pilot project without any cost. The performance is excellent. The feautures are superb. They give me a place to upload and run my php files. Also they give me a SQL database and phpMyAdmin to manage it. So, I have a complete server-side solution: PHP, SQL database, phpMyAdmin. I do not know what I would do without 000webhost.com. Or... actually, I know: I would have been driven crazy trying to get Heroku to do what I wish. Or Google. Or another platfom. Because no one, except 000webhost, gives me what I really need: a place to upload my php files and a SQL database which my php files use. I've been messing about building simple web sites for a few years and have tried so many free hosts looking for a reasonable package for hobby sites that just can't justify using a paid for service. 000webhost fits that bill and then some. Granted the sites sleep for an hour a day but that's more than fair considering all that is provided for free. I host a couple of threads on web creating and recommend 000webhost for people wanting to start out without paying for services they may not need or wish to continue with.

000webhost also provide paid for options for users wishing to expand their sites.

Their main usp is their free hosting. But this is the worst free hosting that I have ever come across. To understand, you yourself can take 1 min, register an account (no money involved, so no loss), and see that utter mess by yourself.

This company belongs to hostinger and they are like hell bent on making you take a paid hostinger account by irritating you with the terrible free thing.

Just don't even waste that 1 min.

😃 Very good, but with some shortcomings
If you are looking for a free hosting for your website, you will not be disappointed with 000webhost.com's free plan. It allows you to work with PHP, HTML, CSS, MYSQL, and, as far as I know, has no code restrictions. I was able to upload all code I wanted. I could reliably work with its database and easily access it via PHP. I also could send up to 50 automatic emails every day using swift.
On the other hand, I had some drawbacks... When you have a free plan, you know your website will be offline during 1 hour per day.. that's ok.. But, although they claim you can change when your website will sleep, I wasn't able to use this setting (the time frame never updates). The file manager is also not that smart.. You cannot upload a folder with its contents... You can only upload files.. and only 5 at once! This takes a looooot of time if you have to upload lots of files. Also, the file editor is not good at all.. it mess with your code, is very small, has no features... It is useless!

000webhost.com offers me everything I need to host my website. I created a php website to keep track of my expenses. I am very happy with the service. The setup process is quite easy and also they provide guidance through out the cycle. I have not paid anything. The Cpanel access is very helpful to make quick changes to the database. The website puts into sleep mode sometimes because I have the free hosting service. To me is not a big issue. In general is a great free option for non-critical websites.

I needed a host that allowed FTP uploading for a project, as the project was a free one simply sharing old albums from local bands it had to be a free site as there's no money to cover costs. Having tried loads of different free offerings I've stayed with 000webhost as each of the others turned up issues. I've now added a second site as it works so well. Even with the introduction of an hour a day downtime I'm sticking with 000webhost and if I have need to upgrade to a paid for service in the future I will stick with 000webhost / hostinger. Haven't had any difficulties at all. Keep up the good work.

It is easy to navigate and I can use it with my own website that I built myself. It is easy to log onto too. I have had a couple of problems with the £ sign showing as diamonds and the layout of some pages display differently to how I designed them but my site is built with Microsoft Word so it might be that. But otherwise I would highly recommend the site for beginners and competent web builders

It is great, as it offers a very friendly UI, and you could basically build and upload your website, with very little knowledge about that stuff. I am constantly running up into walls when I host with other platforms, they dumb things down for the newbie user, and as a designer/developer that is no good for me. I LOVE the freedom 000WEBHOST.com gives their users, not to mention the clean, simple, and efficient layout. Their website builder is decent as well, not as easy as say webs.com, but very good for those who have some level of artistic skill and want more freedom of control. They use a simple WYSIWYG editor, no coding required. They will host files, let you control who can view your content, and they have high levels of freedom as far as hosting limits go. Really great free service. Moved domain here after other paid services were either too slow or I had problems with caching. CPanel was easy to use and I havent experienced any noticeable down time.

I work for a company that is wise enough to need proof before committing to anything. We need to do project that is secret at the moment. And we need a backend platform that would provide us with php and a relational database for free. And I found all those things at 000webhost.com. 000webhost.com provides exactly what we were searching for: A file manager to upload php files and phpMyAdmin to create and manage our database. The communication between our php code and our database (both hosted on 000webhost.com) is seamless. The thing I like most is that 000webhost provides exactly what we want, whereas other hosts we tried (before found 000webhost) provide things that are irrelevant, hard to configure, hard to understand, and with many hidden restrictions that you do not learn until you have invested a lot of time to their platform, time that will eventually go to waist. There are clearly advantages to paying for a service. Free hosting by 000webhost is a clear, simple introduction to creating and managing your own webpages/site. The file upload method is basic but it works well. The Allowed space is small but sufficient. Uptime has been good though switching off for one hour a day is petty. The reminders to upgrade will, no doubt, become irritating. For free you shouldn't, however, be disappointed.

It's great if you are only starting out although if you can afford it I'd recommend getting their 'Pro' plan or going with another host as it's very limited in what you can do. You can easily make professional looking websites as they support wordpress. You can also use their own site builder as well as uploading your own if you don't like any of them. It also constantly nags you about upgrading to pro, but hey, It's free! Plus they've gotta make money somehow. You can also use your own custom domains, however if you buy them from 000webhost/hostinger there won't be a banner on your site. Personally, I think this is messed up as honstinger inflates prices on their domains and it makes your site look less professional, but then again I argue it's FREE, and probably the best free hosting experience you can get at the current time.

I was looking for a free hosted web space where I could host the notes for the "gaming in python" programming classes I am giving for free to my son and his friends. I wanted a no-frill, no cost host because I am doing all of this for free, I do not intend to make profit and I do not want to have losses on it. 000webhost.com fitted the bill perfectly. As I am already quite fluent with wordpress, I was up and running in minutes and the tools provided are very much OK. The initial phase (1-2-3) is a little bit cumbersome for somebody who knows already how to proceed. I won't have millions of visitors, the site name is really shitty, but it will perfectly serve the purpose!

We had time to make an exchange of links with other sites, have registered it in different search engines. Recently our site has been closed without any warning. No explanations, no offers to correct anything, inquiries in technical support are not accepted, at their forum I cannot be registered anymore, because I already "not a customer". During all this time the web has been working as good as you can ask to a free hosting.
But one day the decided delete my account without previous advice with the justification that I used a lot of resources.

000WebHost terminated my account after about 18 months of free service. They offered a paid service in its place. They did this without warning or reason. They would not respond to my questions about why they terminated my account. My site consisted of index.htm with some php code to enter user data into a DB and check for duplicates. I set up an affiliate account with this place and couldn't log in with the web-builder after a few days even after changing my password, as requested, twice and waiting for a long time for it to take effect. Then I decided to send my constructive criticism using the complaint form. I was told, after typing it out, that I couldn't use the form if I had an account, so I went back and found out I had been logged out. I logged back in and couldn't find the place to send my ticket. So I DELETED my account and went back to use the complaint form.

The form said, (after I typed everything back in), that I still HAD AN ACCOUNT. So I decided to go to their forum. Halfway through the sign-up, I noticed that you need to enter your account details to be able to post to their forum..

Must be tough to be that incompetent.

Um.... no it wasn't.

Fine, turn off my account, but LET ME GET MY DATA. They extort you into buying an account to get your data back, however even *after* you buy "premium" you'll just get some old stale data.

Don't use them, not 000webhost.com or hosting24.com

They will cancel your account for no reason and delete ALL files and data and not respond ever.

I did my backups, but their backup system is screwed and when you try to restore it, the encoding is wrong and the files are damaged. I lost one year of work AND I HAD BACKUPS!!!!!

They say they send warning emails, but that's a lie. They offer an autoinstaller but it doesn't work. I tried to get help in the forum but they don't fix anything, and I see that they've done this for years. Users complaining in the forums that their backups are lost, their accounts suspended. RUN AWAY!!!!!

It looked great: A website for free! Build it and was in use for 3 months. Suddenly it was gone and my account was blocked. Contacted the "support" desk asking for an explanation and restore of account and website. Response: terminated for violation of our Terms Of Service. No restore possible.
Further requests for information gave no information. Now one month later and still no information, no reason, no website...
My recommendation: go somewhere elso. Here you will get at the end what you're paying for: nothing.
Oh no, you will get something: frustration...

Unreliable, lacking goodwill, unfriendly are the most kindly adjectives that I could find without harming manners.
In order to be helpful to humanity, they must be shot down as soon as possible.
Suddenly they can delete your websıte completely without any little warning. Their lie is :"Canceled for abuse. Too many mysquel". Dishonesty and lack of business ethics are their most prominent characteristics. They must be eradicated form internet world.

😠 000webhost sucks
This company is a big big big liar. They seem to be free, but free of sense and dignity.
I was working hard into a joomla test, making a free subdomain on there. I made templates, i put all working, i transalated some non translated test, and all was going fine. But one day i got kicked out as a poor guy for using too many MySQL tables. I tought it was my problem so i asked them to know how many were the maximun.... after 2 answer saying me to read TOS making me.... mad..... i send them this... and look what they answered..

😠 Site shutdown for inactivity without notification
Not only did 000webhost shutdown the website but they delete everything stored about the account most notably all website files and any email address configuration.
Looking around, there are many bad reviews, really hope 000webhost can clean up their act.

😠 Horrible!
000webhost is absolutely horrible, I also got my site shut down without any warning at all and no chance to save my forum or database with 1000+ members due to me supposedly "sending 1000emails with 0 visitors" which is an absolute load of rubbish considering I didnt send a single email. There customer support also sucks when i tried contacting them about this problem, all i ever got from them was "Please upgrade your account to get your data back" which I definately wont be doing.

I have been using 000webhost for about a year now and actually really liked them and would have suggested them to anyone, Not anymore!

DO NOT HOST WITH 000WEBHOST!

I've recently transfered all of my data from 000webhost to another server provider because of 000's unreliability. I also left because they would ban my IP after a few visits to my site and I would have to wait 24 hours just to see if my html/php code was working right. The support also sucks. Know what they told me? Either upgrade your account to premium or use a proxy server! Why in the world would I need to use a proxy server just to access my own site! DO NOT USE THEM! Find someone else because 000 sucks! It's the worst service I have ever used

Our website was constantly going down, mysql databases were empted like one hundred times, support is terrible, and they falsely claimed that I was sending over 1000 emails and that I only had 0 visitors. What is piss take.

Keep well away! Switched to paid hosting at buzzhosting.org .

At first time it was great, I installed wordpress and a WP template for some friend that is photographer and wanted a website. All the features worked great, it was very faster the service. You don't have autoinstaller, but is ok because you can do it manually (it is not a big deal).
The bad things started later.
- Once we found we haven't the database. They moved web sites to other servers, so our database (mysql) was empty. After some support tickets we recovered it.
- The big problem was a few days ago when they suspended us the account because a term of service violation "Suspended (Account sent more than 1000 email messages and only gets 0 visitors per day. This overloads our mail server. If you need to send more emails and to get your account re-activated, please upgrade to our premium UNLIMITED hosting". We don't have idea why this happened, we don't have emails in 000webhosting.

I don't understand all the terrible reviews of 000... but I guess it's all the people with the bad experiences that write reviews. After doing other free webhosts and suffering for years with terrible services I switched to 000 and so far, over a year later, I'm still with them.

They have the occasional downtime, but otherwise my site is always up, and I had an external server checking uptime for 3 months which got 99.64% on one server and 99.92% on the other. Very good for free hosting. My website loads quickly almost every time and I can put my own ads on it.

I've contacted support a few times where they've been moderately helpful and most things have been resolved in under 48 hours. Not bad, but could be better. Mostly the people on their forums are the helpful ones.

Feature wise it's good, but the auto script installer is still broken. I don't need that though. Just installed a photo blog by myself...

Looking forward to hosting for time to come with them. :)

😃 I've used 000webhost for a while now. They are the fastest and most reliable free host around. I use them to test out scripts like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, etc. They let you create as many sites as you want, so I have one for each script I use.

My sites always load up fast. There is very little downtime. For the whole time I've been with them, one of my sites went down for a bit because of DOS attack. That's it.

They are lacking in features. They disabled the script installer and have no plans of bringing it back. And they refuse to tell the users that. Their website creator is very basic. I've tested it out, and it's not very good. But I don't use it anyways.

Don't know about their customer service, as I have never bother using that. Their forums seem to be a great help as they have some very knowledgeable users helping out.

Overall, this is a great site. And it's free.

😠 Horrible Webhosting
I bought a domain from another website, decided to park it on 000webhost meanwhile I decided which host I was going to use. I mainly use my site to test college work, and working on my own video game. 000webhost does not allow you to use an external source to use MySQL querry to log in to your database nor manipulate your database. For me that's very important since I want to use my domain to host my game and also to be able to let users create accounts and log in whether its on the website or not. I have been designing the website, and programming it and I have had lots of errors because of 00webhost (using xampp on my localhost let's my code work perfectly) so yes I know is 000webhost's fault. Their costumer service is horrible and they will delete your account or site without giving you any head ups to back up your information and move it. I also had a VBulletin forum which I owned the licence I bought it, and they said it was nulled I disputed my account was closed. Anyways, [прочитайте больше...]

I subscribe a free account. It was quite slow since the beginning (I installed wordpress), a lot of time php calls ends up to a blank page (I had to reload the page). The 1st Saturday and Sunday they were blocked by, they said, a DDOS attack. After few days (about 1 week from my signup) they suddenly suspended my account, without any notification: "Suspended (Unmanaged or abandoned website that allows anonymous posting. MySQL database is overloaded with thousands of junk records. To get your account unsuspended please upgrade to our premium hosting.)"
Of course they are all lies (except the last one). I only use wordpress EVERYDAY.
Stay away by these thiefs!

000Webhost.com you should be ashamed of your self, for the following reasons, you have terrible customer service by saying your on your own or just upgrade, false information like, 99% uptime when it is not even close to that, you don’t say anything about the Autoinstaller not working (See http://www.000webhost.com). The Autoinstaller has not been working for almost two years now, very limited on everything. I would NOT recommend this webhosting web hosting company to anyone, so I would give them an “F”. If you would to improve, I would reconsider recommending you again.

😠 I can see my page, but everyone else sees a redirect message saying the site is under review, along with a hundred other sites they review each day.

The message says it will be up within a few hours.

Its been two weeks.

Nice features. Some are disabled including the 1 click installer. The message is they are looking for another installer.

Navigating from your database back to MySQL is impossible, there is no back button, you have to start all over, with sign in and get the Catcha phrase typed in right with your password.

Had many pass word error problems. I am not sure if its me or a faulty database.

Find another provider.

there are only 2 drawbacks:
1) It says "Server too busy, please reload" (but this only last 30 seconds)

2) If someone puts something ilegal to Google Adsense, the whole domain got blocked for Google Ads

😃 This webhost is great but its down a lot even though it says its 99% out of the time that i have been on about 80% of the time its down. That may be due to traffic on my site. I like their cPanel as it is simple and easy to use. What i didnt like the most is that even with the upgrade you can only have 10 people connected to the database at the same time. If you were able to pay $5 dollars a month i would get the service but its actually like $8 if you plan to pay each month other wise you have to pay like 3 years ahead to actually get the $5 dollar price. Customer support was fine and pritty much everything else is good.

This is the reason given why they suspended my free account, without even allowing me to get my data out and move somewhere else UNLESS I pay them. Which I won't, because their service is not only bad, it's expensive, and luckily for me I have a semi-recent backup. They are scammers, pure and simple, and you should stay away.

😉 Since the first day I started looking for a free webhost for starter. I have found 000webhost. I tried it first and then I felt uncomfortable because Ddos attackers often attacked them. After a few month of using it I quit using it for 6 months and I started using it again but this time I face some problem the Admin block some of the users from making a new website. I try contacting the admin and it took me 7 weeks to get the new website validated. Thats a long time for a single website. well I have make a bad record of the website.
And Then again It is a Fast Free webhosting. A great sacrifice for a great free service

😠 Absolutely horrible customer service. I tried in earnest to work with them regarding an error, and all I got was game-playing from both the helpdesk and whatever staff frequents their forum.

If you just have a static page I suppose they're good for that, but don't expect any support.

There are better options out there for the same price.

Cons: Sites are randomly slow, tons of FTP disconnects (mostly during the nights)

Don't bother putting a message board up. You'll get mysql errors up the ying yang and major slowdowns most of the time. only useful if you're sticking images and basic html on the site.

😠 000webhost to put it simply SUCKS - I never really get to use their website because I couldn't even upload anything via FTP (WP folders), in the end I decided to just upload one index.html with a picture. And I even had problem with that! What a joke!
Autoinstaller is "broken" so you upgrade to paid account.
And reading other reviews I see that this webhost is run by incompetent, dishonest, sleazy liars trying to scam you out of your money.

Stay away!

😁 Using the free option to run PHP and MySQL on a low traffic site.

Tech support has been thru the forum and has worked well. I seem to get too-frequent site shutdowns, being accused of mass mailing (which I do not do) but no actual deletion of content (yet). Site is normally re-activated same day when I notify that I am not mass mailing.

Any broken links on your site will redirect to 000webhost's flyer page.

So for my simple purposes it works well. 000webhost strongly advises back up ALL your content. Once you follow this you cannot complain about site deletion of a free host.

Now thinking about hosting my family photos albums on the paid option.

😠 Spent a lot of time in my website, and my website get about 20-30 visitors per day. But they are steal my database and cancel the account for "Cancelled for Inactivity." And then I asked them for a back up they said they delete all file and the database. Finally, I just want to said stay away from 000webhost, they are big scam and steal your traffic. This is bad host I ever have. I would not recommend this host to anyone.

😠 000Webhost is by far, the WORST webhost I have EVER seen in my 5 years in free hosting. Their autoinstaller has been down for almost a month, and they refuse to even give me a REMOTE IDEA of when I can use it again. I cannot add custom DNS records to my domains that I have hosted to them. And from the support tickets, the ONE person on support cannot even speak proper english. Props to 000Webhost for the HORRIBLE, UNRELIABLE, SHITTY hosting.

Also, from what I've been seeing in the other reviews, you get terminated if you criticize them, or upset them, which means I am backing up all my files right now before I get terminated.
