Not too happy. Just signed up for their Business Plus hosting. Loaded up a landing page and things seemed fine. The site loaded up in my browser quickly, without issue. I checked it over the course of the day and download speeds were very fast.

But now, here on the following day, the site is taking 2 to 3 minutes to download into a browser. Other sites are showing speeds of 2.9MBps to download, so the problem isn't with my broadband connection or browser settings. But my site isn't even registering 0.0KBps in my measurement application because it's timing out.

So I call in and a rep says he'll look into it. A few minutes later he comes back and says he doesn't see a problem. Sure enough, the browser now downloads the site faster, but still not as fast as yesterday. I say thanks, thinking that I'll follow up later.

20 minutes pass and I check again. It's back to taking 2 to 3 minutes to download the site's home page into my browser. I call in a second time. Different rep. He tells me that performance problems were noticed on the server my site is hosted on about 20 minutes ago and that the Sys Admin Team is working on it. He says they should have it fixed in 15 minutes. I ask if someone can notify me at my email address when the problem is resolved. He tells me they don't do that.

They don't notify you when you have a problem. They're not eager to acknowledge when they are having a problem. And they don't notify you when they think they've resolved the problem so you can test to see if they've actually fixed the problem you've reported.

Not a good experience so far. Granted, this is only day two. But already I'm getting the idea that I shouldn't have opted for ixhosting.com.
