I've been with ihoststudio for eight years with their "deluxe hosting" at 34$ a month. It is certainly not worth it, and you should look elsewhere for honesty and value.
- Their antiquated "dynamic" storage makes it impossible for me to copy my web site (600 pages, with photos and descriptions). I thought they would modernize but since they get paid each month anyway, why sweat it?
So, they told me I'd have to pay them to copy my web site, so that I can upgrade the looks (their templates are styled from 1996, I believe). This is not right for a long term client who pays their top deluxe business hosting fees each month.
- I was told I was getting the possibility to build, store and host up to 5 web sites (I have one right now) with that deluxe package. I am ready now to build one more, but I was just told it's not possible. Well, someone lied to me. I am certainly NOT paying ihoststudio more for an additional web site. I am definitely, positively not recommending anyone to hire their services.
- This is the fourth time in two years that their automated mindless accounting robots, turns off my web site. Each time Sara tells me she will handle it so it won't happen again. I lose business each time. Their excuse is that I switched over to paypal to pay them (from credit card) and their accounting staff is reluctant to go see a client's payment from paypal showing up on their printer. Too much work to accept our money. So, their robot accounting computer shuts down any web site not paying automatically by credit card.
Many times Sara (and others) said they'd prevent this (by picking up the print out of my payment), but I guess that's too much work, so their robot accounting shuts it down again - no calls, no warning. Apparently, the accounting staff can't turn it off (big BS).
For these chronic reasons, I suggest you do not go with ihoststudio.
I am sure there are honest hosting services that 1) will deliver what they promise 2) will have upgraded their storage from dynamic to static in the past 2 decades (otherwise you cannot upgrade your web site, move or add much to it - their antiquated templates are very limited). There are marketing actions done at the source code, that I cannot
perform because of their archaic limitations. It limits revenue. Not theirs, YOURS.
The worse is that I cannot take my web site and go somewhere else (I guess they know that). Don't get trapped like this. Go somewhere else for your hosting services.
