Overall disappointed

I recommeded IDC Thailand to two clients, and have since regretted doing so. The customer service was generally good, but the server speed was always (repeat ALWAYS) slow. We had what was described as an Elastic hosting, paying 650 Baht per month. Not cheap, but performance was on par with GoDaddy's cheapest (which is probably a third of the price). You couldn't update 2 plugins at a time, as the site would go down, and I'd have to FTP in and delete the maintenance file. PHP 7.3 or 7.4 wouldn't work due to the server software.

What I can say is that the version of WHMCS they now run looks nice and is easy to navigate.

What capped it all off was the final reponse from them regarding domain hosting. They advertise domain registration, but actually only allow it with a hosting plan. Though they don't say this.
When I moved one site away last week and wanted to keep the domain with them, they just (literally) said 'Move it as well' and closed the ticket. I replied. Ticket was closed. I replied again, ticket was closed again. In the end, what started off as good customer service turned quickly into terrible customer service and I will not be returning or recommending this company.
Thanks for the feedback, I will provide some response and the parts you left out.

This user opened a support ticket with a complaint about a php module "snuffleupagus" which is released in PHP 7.4, we advised them that we couldn't remove it at the time of opening the ticket but would look into removing it. Before we could do anything further they moved their website. Nothing we could do about their rash decision.

The module was removed the next day but so was their website.

We provide multiple PHP versions in which they could have easily switch PHP versions, enabled the modules they needed set their resource usage and been done with it, but they didn't take a moment to do that and instead just moved their website, then demanded we be the registrar for their domain.

We provide domain registration as a courtesy and at cost, we felt we no longer wanted to be involved and declined to be their registrar. We are not obligated to be their registrar they just wanted the lower cost registration and we choose to use our resources on our hosting clients.

In regards to performance, they chose Elastic hosting when they signed up we had nothing to do with that choice.

But because of the amount of websites they were running no lower priced package would fit their resource needs nor would other hosting providers provide the resources they needed at the price. So they chose the cheapest plan and saturated it.

When they first start hosting 2 years ago they were fine for about 6 months, but then they kept loading more and more websites until they maxed their resources. Then expected dedicated server amounts of resources at shared hosting costs.

So if they had issues updating 2 plugins then they should have been responsible and updated their resource package, it isn't our responsibility to provide you with dedicated server amounts of resources at shared hosting costs.

Other hosts would have demanded they move to a VPS but we did not, we provided the high resources for the EXACT SAME AMOUNT AS GoDaddy and if they needed more could have upgraded their package which is CHEAPER than GoDaddy. That's what the Elastic Hosting is all about, resources when you need them, but they declined to do that.

The fact of the matter is the user made a rash decision, and now like then wants to hold us responsible for their decisions. We provide large resource hosting, it is your responsibility to to use those resources and when you outgrow them upgrade your resources. If not and you choose to move then again that's your decision demanding us to support you with lower priced domains is our decision to make and we declined.

Amazon would have charge you 5x
GoDaddy 3x
Every provider except us would have charged you much much more than we did and we provided the resources they wouldn't.
