THE HORROR, THE HORROR
I am another former and then VERY HAPPY customer of Webstrikesolutions for nine years. Now I am a present and VERY UNHAPPY customer of CGI for one month. I have only two sites - but they are for my two small businesses. One migrated fine but the other was completely botched causing two mySQL driven sections of the site (forum and blog) to be rendered unusable to the users of my site and it appears at least one year's worth of data may have been lost from both sections.
Several calls to customer support - I won't waste my time with support tickets, just read other people's experiences below - have seen no progress on this front and it's been a week.
It is a real shame that such a responsive company such as Webstrikesolutions had to be swallowed up by such crap. When I first heard of the sale I felt a strange churning sensation in my gut.... it's now a full-blown ulcer.
I'm looking for a new hosting service. This company is not only useless, it's hopeless. I don't care how many features they can offer or at what price. If the service sucks and the support sucks then the greatest hosting infrastructure on the planet ain't worth the electricity it takes to run it.
