We have been using the Enterprise Web Protection plan ($1000/month) for more than 3.5 years and I would like to publish a review of it:
+ pages are very well protected
+ Individual attacks are recognized and quickly fended off
+ the support reacts within a few minutes 24-7 and can help directly
+ Individual attacks are fended off within 60 minutes (usually within minutes)
+ Server errors on a backend server are detected and after some tests a ticket is opened.
+ the administrative interface is constantly being expanded.
- In the past there were some (3-4) failures (1h) at night (00:00), where no attack took place, but the pages (also from other customers) were not reachable from outside. The failures mostly affected users from Central Europe and only there the page could not be accessed. The backend servers in different locations worked without problems. Everyone makes mistakes at some point. I would wish in such a situation, if you give out detailed information about what exactly it was (e.g. someone has set a configuration incorrectly or a router has gone faulty) and no standard response.
We will continue to use the great protection service. With other ddos protections in the past, we had problems with attacks every week and a lot of sleepless nights, since we're using DDOS-Guard it happens only 3-4 times a year (and then the problem is solved after max. 1h).
Things that we wish:
- IP/User-Session counter so that we have more statistics
- If a SSL certificate expires, a warning (especially for root certificates)
- Purge Cache for a specific URL/File
