WebOké is an independent Dutch hosting provider active since 2004, operating through WebaWere Internet Solutions B.V. from Abcoude, Utrecht, Netherlands. The company has kept the same ownership since its early years, all shareholders remain actively involved in the business, and more than 15,000 Dutch customers use its services. LinkedIn places the organization in the 2–10 employee range. Danny De Koning serves as Managing Director of WebOké, while Michel De Koning is Director/Owner of WebaWere Internet Solutions B.V. The company is registered under Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 24366368 and VAT number NL813473238B01.

The business remains relatively focused compared with hosting groups that have expanded through numerous acquisitions. Hardware administration is performed in-house, while the physical servers are colocated in third-party Dutch facilities. WebOké also maintains direct working relationships with the teams behind DirectAdmin, LiteSpeed and CloudLinux. Dutch is the primary website language, with English and German localization also available, although some translated areas still contain Dutch interface elements. Pricing is in euros, normally shown excluding Dutch VAT.

The main shared web hosting platform is Linux based and combines NVMe SSD storage, LiteSpeed, DirectAdmin, free wildcard Let's Encrypt SSL, Imunify360 security, malware scanning, DDoS protection and daily offsite backups retained for 31 days. Installatron provides one-click access to more than 100 CMS and web applications. Databases, mailboxes and aliases are unrestricted within the practical resource limits of the hosting package, and the platform is tuned for WordPress. Hosting resources can be upgraded or downgraded without downtime, while additional storage can be added when required.

WebHost One is the entry package with one CPU core, 1 GB RAM, 5 GB NVMe storage and 250 GB monthly traffic. WebHost Two doubles the processing allocation to two CPU cores and 2 GB RAM, provides 10 GB storage and 500 GB traffic, and adds free website migration. Power WebHost Three increases this to four CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 15 GB NVMe and 1 TB traffic, while also adding SSH, Redis and a free .nl domain. Power WebHost Four reaches eight CPU cores, 6 GB RAM and 20 GB NVMe, removes the monthly traffic limit and adds priority support. WooCommerce is supported from WebHost Two upward.

A separate AI WordPress service combines hosted WordPress with AI-assisted website creation. A complete initial website can be generated from a prompt in roughly one to two minutes and then modified through the WordPress environment and visual AI tools. The result remains a normal WordPress installation rather than a closed proprietary site: customers own the site, can export it and can use the broader WordPress ecosystem of more than 60,000 plugins, including WooCommerce. Responsive layout and basic SEO functionality are included. A seven-day demo provides the complete feature set on a temporary URL without requiring payment information.

Three AI WordPress resource levels are available. AI WordPress One includes one CPU core, 1 GB RAM and 5 GB storage; Two provides three cores, 3 GB RAM and 10 GB; Three provides eight cores, 6 GB RAM and 20 GB. All three include email, SSL, daily backups, a free .nl domain, online-store capability and priority support. Existing WordPress installations can be migrated into a test environment before the new setup goes live.

The reseller hosting range is designed for web designers, agencies and hosting resellers that need customer separation and white-label administration. WEBRESEL provides one CPU core and 1 GB RAM per user, configurable storage between 7.5 GB and 300 GB, up to 100 domains and 50 users. Power Reseller increases each user's resources to four CPU cores and 4 GB RAM and adds SSH/CLI access; its default allocation includes 10 domains and five users, with capacity configurable during ordering. Both use white-label DirectAdmin, LiteSpeed and 31-day offsite backups. Resellers can create their own hosting packages, customize the panel logo, colors and menu structure, and control CPU/RAM allocations through CloudLinux Manager. Existing cPanel accounts can also be imported. WebOké supports the reseller directly, while support for the reseller's own customers remains the reseller's responsibility.

The email hosting range can be used without buying web hosting. Email One provides 5 GB with two mailboxes and two aliases; Email Two increases capacity to 20 GB and five mailboxes; Email Three has 50 GB and 10 mailboxes; Email Four provides 100 GB and 25 mailboxes. Daily backups are retained for 31 days, and an IMAP migration tool can transfer existing mail while preserving folders and message history. Roundcube supplies browser-based webmail, while standard IMAP and SMTP allow use with Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, the Gmail app and other conventional clients. Spam and phishing filtering are integrated, and each Email Only package also includes a simple business-card landing page.

Domain registration covers more than 500 extensions. WebOké has been a direct SIDN registrar for .nl domains since 2004, while EURid handles .eu registrations and DNS Belgium is used for .be. Key-Systems/RRPproxy handles other extensions. Domain customers receive DNS management, DNSSEC, URL forwarding, email forwarding and control over common A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV and CAA records. Optional WHOIS privacy is available for .com registrations. An anonymous-registration arrangement is also available for certain extensions, placing WebOké as the registrant while the customer remains the beneficial owner, but this option does not apply to .nl domains.

The Nextcloud hosting service is another substantial part of the portfolio. It keeps cloud files, calendars, contacts, photos, notes, tasks and collaboration functions on Dutch infrastructure and supports desktop, browser and mobile access. Paid tiers receive their own Nextcloud environment, with Nextcloud Office available as an option for editing formats such as DOCX, XLSX, PPTX and ODT. End-to-end encryption can be activated for individual folders. Deleted files remain in the recycle bin for 30 days, file versioning is available, and daily system backups are maintained in a separate datacenter. The important limitation is that those infrastructure backups are intended for service continuity rather than as a contractual substitute for the customer's own backup. Customers remain responsible for maintaining copies of important data and should export everything required before terminating the service.

The Sitebuilder provides a simpler route for small business and static websites. It uses a drag-and-drop editor, AI functions and more than 200 templates, creates portable static HTML/CSS rather than a database-driven proprietary site, and automatically saves a backup after each stored change. A free add-on for existing hosting accounts supports three pages and 22 templates, while the Premium add-on opens the larger template library and AI features. The service is better suited to informational sites than projects requiring sophisticated e-commerce or visitor-account systems.

Free utilities complement the commercial services, including WHOIS, IP and SSL-certificate checks, email-health testing for SPF, DMARC, MX and blacklist issues, and an email migration utility. WebOké also makes NordVPN available as an ancillary VPN option rather than operating its own VPN network. The current hosting catalog concentrates on shared and managed application services rather than offering a broad VPS or dedicated-server range.

💰 Price & Cost

Prices use EUR and are normally displayed excluding 21% VAT, with a VAT display option available. The general contract framework supports three-month, six-month, one-year and three-year periods, although domain registrations use one-year terms and migration work is treated as a one-time service. Promotional rates therefore need to be distinguished from normal recurring prices.

WebHost One costs €2.45 per month. WebHost Two is €2.23 per month for its introductory period instead of the normal €4.45, representing a 50% welcome discount for the first 12 months. Power WebHost Three starts at €3.73 instead of €7.45, and Power WebHost Four at €6.98 instead of €13.95. The two Power packages include one free .nl domain in addition to their larger CPU, memory and traffic allocations.

AI WordPress One starts at €1.38 per month compared with a normal €5.50, Two at €2.13 instead of €8.50, and Three at €3.75 instead of €15.00. These are 75% introductory prices. The service has no setup fee, and the seven-day trial can be used without supplying payment details.

WEBRESEL reseller hosting starts at €5.21 per month, while Power Reseller starts at €10.00 per month, with annual billing available and the exact total changing as storage, users and domain capacity are configured. Email hosting starts at €1.95 per month for Email One. Email Two is currently €3.45 on the product card, although an FAQ on the same service gives €3.50; Email Three costs €5.45 and Email Four €9.95. The small Email Two discrepancy is worth checking at checkout.

Domain pricing remains straightforward for common Dutch and European extensions. A .nl domain costs €4.99 for the first year and €9.45 on renewal. .com is €14.95 for both initial registration and renewal, .eu starts at €5.49 and renews at €9.95, and .be follows the same €5.49/€9.95 structure. More specialized extensions can be substantially more expensive; .shop, for example, starts around €43.99 annually. Optional WHOIS privacy for a .com domain costs €5 per year. A manual SIDN escalation transfer for a .nl domain, used when the former registrar refuses to provide the normal transfer code, costs €75 excluding VAT.

Nextcloud Free includes 5 GB for one user without a recurring charge. Personal costs €3.50 per month for 250 GB and one user, Family €7.95 for 500 GB and five users, and Max €14.95 for 1 TB and 10 users. Extra capacity can be added: Personal supports another 250 GB for €2.50 per month, Family another 500 GB for €5, and Max another 1 TB for €5 or 4 TB for €15. Nextcloud Office is €2 per user on the applicable paid packages. Quarterly, half-yearly and annual billing choices are available, and upgrades are calculated pro rata.

The Sitebuilder Premium add-on costs €2 per month excluding VAT when attached to an existing hosting service. The basic add-on is free, with three pages and a smaller template set. Both require a hosting package and domain.

A 30-day money-back guarantee applies to core hosting services including web hosting, Email Only and Nextcloud. Domain-registration costs and other externally committed services should not be treated as equivalent to a reversible hosting subscription. Website migration is free from WebHost Two upward. Migration for WebHost One costs €50 once, while each additional site costs €25; larger migrations involving three or more sites are individually arranged. Migration operates on a No Cure No Pay basis.

SEPA direct debit is explicitly supported and can be activated through the customer portal after verification with a €0.01 payment. Payment processing is handled by Mollie. Renewal invoices are generated in advance. Domain auto-renewal is enabled by default, but the actual renewal depends on payment; an unpaid renewal invoice allows the contract to terminate rather than creating an indefinitely accruing domain obligation.

🏢 Data Center

WebOké manages its own server hardware but uses professional colocation rather than owning the datacenter buildings. Production infrastructure is split between NorthC Datacenters facilities in Aalsmeer and Oude Meer, Netherlands. This gives the platform two geographically separate Dutch locations for production and backup functions.

NorthC Aalsmeer is the primary site. It uses 100% green electricity, has more than 500 solar panels on the roof and reuses residual heat for nearby facilities including a swimming pool, daycare center and plant-export business. The facility carries Tier III certification and a 99.99% facility-uptime level. NorthC Oude Meer provides the second location and geographic redundancy, with direct connectivity toward AMS-IX.

Current shared-hosting servers use NVMe SSD storage and recent-generation processors. LiteSpeed is used throughout the shared platform instead of a conventional Apache-only stack, while Imunify360 adds firewalling, malware detection and DDoS protection. Physical datacenter security, TLS/SSL, system-level two-factor authentication and ongoing security updates form additional layers.

A complete backup is created daily and retained for 31 days. Backup copies are kept on WebOké-controlled servers in a different datacenter from the production system, reducing the risk of a single-site incident affecting both copies. Shared-hosting customers can restore data through JetBackup. Nextcloud also receives daily continuity backups at a separate site, although customers remain responsible for maintaining their own independent copies of important Nextcloud data.

WebaWere Internet Solutions has RIPE-registered IPv4 space including 185.158.164.0/22 and IPv6 space including 2a07:ae80::/29. These prefixes are originated through AS8455, operated by atom86 BV (atom86.net), rather than through a WebOké-owned autonomous system. The AS8455 network currently uses major transit relationships including Arelion, Lumen, NTT and Hurricane Electric, while also connecting extensively through Dutch and European peering infrastructure. Those are relationships of the originating AS8455 network and should not be interpreted as proof that WebOké contracts with every carrier directly.

Availability wording requires some care. Current web-hosting material uses 99.9% uptime, while the company overview gives an average figure of 99.99%. The dedicated SLA sets a 99.5% annual uptime guarantee, excluding force majeure, failures in external supplier/public infrastructure and announced critical maintenance. It also records an average of at least 99.9% since 2017. General Terms Article 5.3, however, says uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. Customers who require a contractually enforceable SLA should therefore establish in writing which SLA takes precedence for their exact service. Nextcloud explicitly operates without an SLA, even though its infrastructure has historically exceeded 99.9% annual availability; the Nextcloud service records 100% network uptime for 2025.

Operational history is available through the public status system. A resolved Layer 3/Layer 4 DDoS attack on July 9, 2026, affected Linux2020 and Linux2023 and briefly influenced other systems. The event was mitigated and closed through the status channel. This is useful context because the service combines preventative DDoS filtering with a visible incident history rather than treating availability only as an abstract percentage.

✍️ Customer Support

Support is centered on email, the customer helpdesk, chat and WhatsApp. The official WhatsApp number is +31 97 0102 55083, and support@weboke.nl is the principal support address. An AI support assistant is available around the clock and can work from the WebOké knowledge base, DirectAdmin information and common CMS topics. Human technical monitoring also operates 24/7 so infrastructure incidents can be acted upon outside normal office hours.

The service SLA sets a maximum support response of 24 hours on working days and 40 hours during weekends. Its reference response statistics from calendar year 2021 were substantially faster: an average of 1.56 hours on business days and 2.78 hours at weekends. Those averages are historical rather than a current guaranteed response time, so the contractual maximum is the more useful figure when judging support commitments.

Migration assistance is particularly strong for ordinary hosting customers. A single website migration is free from WebHost Two upward and covers website files, databases and email when the former provider permits access, together with aliases, forwarding rules, DNS records and cron jobs where applicable. A new Let's Encrypt certificate can be installed as part of the move. Straightforward migrations can be completed quickly, sometimes within 24 hours, while the broader migration window is normally within five working days depending on complexity. Closed website builders such as Wix and Squarespace cannot simply be copied like a conventional hosting account and may require a rebuild or content import; custom PHP extensions and external webhooks can likewise need manual work.

Support responsibility has sensible boundaries. WebOké manages the hosting environment, server software and service infrastructure, while application-level website problems are generally handled on a best-effort advisory basis. Nextcloud assistance covers technical operation, configuration, security updates and migrations rather than one-to-one end-user training. Reseller customers receive support from WebOké, but the reseller remains responsible for helping its own hosting clients.

A conventional telephone helpdesk number is not part of the standard support setup; WhatsApp is the main phone-number-based contact channel. That makes the service particularly suitable for customers comfortable with written support, while businesses requiring immediate voice escalation should establish the available escalation route before committing to a critical workload.

🔨 Control Panel

DirectAdmin is the core hosting control panel. It provides management of websites, domains, databases, mailboxes and other account functions, with WebOké server access using the standard DirectAdmin interface on port 2222. Installatron adds one-click deployment and maintenance for more than 100 CMS applications, while JetBackup gives customers access to available backup restore points.

Reseller accounts use a white-label version of DirectAdmin. Resellers can replace branding, adjust colors and menus, build their own hosting packages and use CloudLinux Manager to assign CPU and memory limits per customer. cPanel migrations are supported, making it practical to transfer customers from another reseller platform without manually recreating every account.

The separate My WebOké customer portal handles commercial and account-level administration such as contact details, products, domains, invoices, login information, payment settings, DNS configuration, forwarding, Sitebuilder assignments and customer contacts. Email users can work through Roundcube webmail or conventional IMAP/SMTP clients. AI WordPress retains the normal WordPress administration environment alongside its AI editing functions, Sitebuilder uses its own visual editor, and Nextcloud customers work through the standard Nextcloud browser, desktop and mobile interfaces.

🎯 Conclusion

WebOké is a strong fit for customers who want Dutch-hosted shared services from a small independent provider rather than a multinational hosting group. Its most convincing strengths are the long operating history since 2004, company-managed hardware, two geographically separate Dutch colocation sites, NVMe/LiteSpeed infrastructure, 31-day offsite backups, DirectAdmin, practical migration assistance and a product range that extends beyond basic websites into reseller hosting, standalone email, managed Nextcloud and AI-assisted WordPress.

The offering also has several practical distinctions. Domain registration has direct relationships with the principal Dutch, Belgian and European registries, the WordPress environment remains portable rather than creating platform lock-in, reseller accounts are genuinely white-label, and Nextcloud keeps customer data within Dutch infrastructure. Pricing is competitive at the lower end, although introductory hosting discounts make it important to compare the first term with normal renewal rates.

The main limitations are equally clear. This is not presently a broad infrastructure provider for customers shopping for configurable VPS or dedicated-server fleets. Very large e-commerce sites and exceptionally busy workloads may need a different platform. Human support relies heavily on tickets, email and WhatsApp rather than conventional telephone service, portions of the non-Dutch interface remain mixed-language, and Nextcloud customers must still maintain their own important backups. The separate 99.5% SLA and the more cautious availability clause in the General Terms also deserve clarification for workloads that require contractual uptime remedies. For ordinary business websites, WordPress projects, agencies, Dutch email hosting and privacy-conscious Nextcloud users, however, the combination of local infrastructure, established ownership and technically mature hosting tools makes WebOké a credible Dutch hosting choice.
