😠 Webfusion is excruciatingly slow
Webfusion limits individual downloads to 3mbps. (315KB/sec) I can run five simultaneous downloads at 3mbps for a combined 15mbps, but I cannot expect visitors of my site to use download accelerators.
I use my Webfusion to host photos and short videos I've shot with a pocket camera on various online forums. This host cannot serve up high resolution photos, animated GIFs, or even SD video due to this cap. I asked Webfusion to allow me to upgrade my account and they said that wouldn't be possible.
Nowhere on their site do they mention the incredibly caps they place on individual connections. Also, their hosting has terrible latency for US customers since Webfusion's data center is located in Europe.
After submitting my request to cancel my hosting subscription, Webfusion took over a week to respond. And when they canceled my subscription, they immediately charged my account for the next month telling me they automatically charge for the next thirty days of service at [read more...]

😠 I transferred my only website away from webfusion to the excellent www.webeden.co.uk, simply because webeden offer an excellent integral site builder, plus they would host it for just £24/year. Webfusion was £70/year to host my website. I had no animosity towards webfusion, just I found more what I wanted cheaper elsewhere.
I do have now however have issues with Webfusion. As I was too stupid and trusting (and frankly have too much of a life) not to go through all the small print, I fell foul of giving them 30 days notice to cancel my account. Also, most of us dont really have a clue with all this data jargon for unfathomable offerings, we just assume they'll act like other companies and do the right thing. Unfortunately you have to suspect everything because my experience is they clearly dont care about the customer.

😠 disgusting support over 14 days with no provisional excuses cant generate password Ip classing..
on top of that 12 phone calls live help and mails back and forth which all they wanted to do was close the mails.
promises of calls back and manual set ups which never happened.
stupid woman asked before cancellation if i wanted to back anything up..
Durr ive not had anything to set the account up hence cancellation after 14 days of asking and waiting...
On top i checked the domain and it points to someone elses website pathetic ...

😠 I never joined Webfusion. I was happy with Xcalibre.co.uk who gave 1st class service. Then one day I went to my contrpl panel and found myself wading through webfusions logo's. They'd been bought out, no notification that I saw.
I went back and looked into my spam. Yep, one notification email, from webfusion which had been ditched as it wasn't a known company. Nothing from Xcalibre that i could see.
Anyway, things carried on as normal. I have little complicated stuff to worry about, so there were no crashes or failures.
Recently I found bills I knew nothing about for old domains I have ditched. I had no response, at all, from support when I wrote to them.
This morning I had no email. Connectivity was fine, so I went to my control panel. Not responding. Next to Webfusions main site to get a telephone number. Also, not responding. The entire company has gone dead on a sunday morning.
As I write this I don't know if it's a technical hitch or if they've gone bust. I do know

😠 I used their hosting for 1 year, when I was coming to the end of the 1 year term I was browsing their package deals and clicked on one to find out more info - unfortunately this click, without warning, meant I had upgraded my package automatically! I didn't have to enter any card details and was never shown any terms and conditions before the purchase. They used my card details that had been stored on their system from a year ago when I first signed up - I didn't even realise they still had the details!
I immediately called to say what had happened and ask that the purchase be cancelled. I was told that it's not possible to cancel and get a refund as the upgrade had taken effect immediately. Apparently this is all in the terms and conditions, which incidentally are available on a completely different website of theirs. According to distance selling law in the UK it required that you are shown terms and conditions before making a purchase. I was told that they could not (ie. would [read more...]

😠 Been with Webfusion for 7 years and only recently upgraded to their new reseller system. I must say it is s**t, utter s**t! and the support, well what can I say.
I am not just posting this on here because I can, I do believe they have gone downhill. If you are with them using the MSW.com system, stay with it or completely move elswhere. I wish I had done! I am truly pissed off as my hands are tied now for the simple reason I cannot and will not piss my clients around anymore, thanks to the utter s**t Webfusion have provided in their so called reseller account!
