😞 When I started with them in around 2012, they were good. However a few years ago something start to break down. First thing to notice is their ticketing system is 90% broken. You cannot track your ticket in the portal anymore. There was a point you can't even submit ticket in their web, but via phone call and email only. Now you can submit ticket in web form, but still not tracking, after years. The last online viewable ticket for me is from 2017. All tickets after are email only.
On the other hand, their support guy seems to be quiet technical and knowledgeable.
However today my box is down for no reason and no news for an hr now.

😠 I've used this company for about 1 month and I'm thankful I always try new services with caution, I've only lost 4$ and some brain cells while trying to navigate the nightmarish experience that is vpscheap.

😠 The servers are always falling, I cannot put any project without it having interruptions. I do not recommend it unless it is to learn how to use a VPS

😠 Amazing how bad hosting can be. After my experience with VPSCheap I don't think anyone could be worse.
Constantly, automatically shutting down my server, terrible speed, their highest available package cannot run a simple wordpress installation with woocommerce.
Unfortunately the real issues only started as soon as I had made payment for the second year and after reading the horror stories of people trying to get a refund I decided not to torment myself like that. but they started off by completely erasing my server a month after I had paid for the second year and kindly informed me that since I had not paid extra for a backup option everything was lost, since then they have been shutting down my server every few days so currently my uptime monitor show that it is averaging 25% up. I guess that is my fault as I do not constantly every few minutes check if they have turned off my server again.
Support is extremely unhelpful, you get a rubbish server and must manage it yourself [read more...]

😠 Run AWAY, systems are decades old, and their guarantee is useless, I found out an hour after starting the service about their old kernel and Linux would not work for me because I needed newer features. But they wouldn't give me a refund for the whole year I had paid for. Then I asked politely for even half a refund and they wouldn't even go at that, so I paid for a year of service for nothing, that they are not even going to give me anything. Definitely don't pay ahead, they'll just take your money and run to there TOS. This might be a US thing, I've got vps's running all over the world, but this is the second company to take my credit and run. The first company was host1plus, also in the US, I was years in front with them as well and they kept it. Grrrr, scared to do any business in the us now.

VPSCheap.net is using a decade old Linux kernel on their servers! Trying to update the packages installed in the OS breaks the system!

BEWARE THE 30 DAY "GUARANTEE"!! It is essentailly non-existent! It's displayed all over the website as covering "all packages", but reading their fine print uncovers the fact that they will refuse to cover you for almost any reason at all, including using any reasonable portion of your allocated resources or even paying for more than 1 month at a time! THERE IS NO OPTION TO PAY MONTHLY ON ANY OF THEIR LOW LEVEL PLANS!
All I wanted was a cheap server to host my basic Django based website on, but that's way too modern of a use case for these servers!

VPSCheap.net is using a decade old Linux kernel on their servers! Trying to update the packages installed in the OS breaks the system!
