VictoryVPN is a Swedish VPN and online-privacy service operated by Yayabee Sweden AB from Stockholm. The service has roots going back to 2005, when a group of independent journalists became concerned about proposals for extensive Internet traffic logging and the consequences this could have for source protection. Commercial operations followed in 2006, with Fredrik Bernsel closely associated with the creation and development of the service. Yayabee Sweden AB was formed on August 9, 2006 and registered later that month.
VictoryVPN is focused entirely on VPN and Internet privacy services rather than conventional web hosting. It does not operate as a Shared Hosting, VPS, Dedicated Server, reseller-hosting or domain-registration provider. The service encrypts Internet traffic, replaces the customer's public IP address and routes connections through VictoryVPN infrastructure.
A particularly distinctive aspect is the technical architecture. VictoryVPN operates its own hardware and proprietary code in its own data-center environments, rather than relying on ordinary public-cloud virtual machines. The infrastructure was designed without conventional hard drives and without a traditional general-purpose server operating system. This reduces the amount of persistent information stored on the platform and removes an additional cloud-provider layer from the VPN service.
Privacy is central to the platform. VictoryVPN operates with a no-traffic-logging policy, and the infrastructure is designed so that subscriber traffic is not available for routine inspection. Customer information is kept relatively limited: an email address is needed for the account and payment details are required for billing, while a customer's name and postal address are not required for normal signup.
The current connection platform uses IKEv2 with 256-bit IPsec encryption. Some older support content still contains PPTP and L2TP terminology, but the current installation process is centered on IKEv2. This protocol is particularly suitable for mobile devices because it handles transitions between Wi-Fi and cellular networks efficiently while maintaining the encrypted session.
VictoryVPN does not depend on a proprietary VPN application. Windows, macOS, iOS/iPadOS and Android can connect through their built-in VPN capabilities. Installation instructions are available for Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS, iPhone/iPad and Android. This app-less approach keeps the software footprint small and avoids installing another continuously running VPN client.
The trade-off is a more minimalist user experience. Customers do not receive the type of graphical application common with larger VPN providers, where locations, protocols and additional privacy tools are controlled from a single interface. Server selection and connection management instead take place through the operating system's normal VPN settings.
Current selectable VPN locations include United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany and France. The United States functions as the default connection location, while separate IKEv2 profiles can be configured for the other countries. Earlier generations of the service also included locations such as Italy and Spain, but the current configuration concentrates on these five countries.
Subscriptions include unlimited Internet usage. The VPN can be used for general web browsing, email and other Internet traffic, including connections made through public Wi-Fi, home routers and corporate networks. File sharing is permitted as long as the service is not used for illegal activities.
A subscription is intended for one user. Customers who need independent access for several people should therefore expect to maintain separate memberships rather than treating a single account as a multi-user family or business package.
The service operates under Swedish jurisdiction and has maintained a privacy-oriented technical model for many years. Founder Fredrik Bernsel referred to nine data centers in 2019, showing that the underlying infrastructure has historically extended beyond the simple list of selectable country profiles.
The website is available in English, with services priced in US dollars (USD). No multi-language/localized version exists. The design remains straightforward and functional, although some older PPTP/L2TP documentation still coexists with the newer IKEv2 configuration, which can make the technical information less consistent than it should be.
VictoryVPN does not maintain a clearly separated privacy-policy section comparable to many larger VPN services. Privacy obligations and data-handling information are instead distributed across the Terms & Conditions, support information and technical documentation.
💰 Price & Cost
VictoryVPN uses a simple subscription structure based on the length of the billing period.
The 1-month subscription costs $5.99 per month. The three-month option costs $16.47, equivalent to $5.49 per month, while the 12-month subscription costs $59.88 per year, equivalent to $4.99 per month.
Subscriptions renew automatically until they are canceled. Future renewals can be stopped through the My Account area.
VictoryVPN does not offer a money-back guarantee. Subscription payments are non-refundable, including the unused portion of an already paid subscription. This policy is closely connected with the no-logging design, since the service does not retain traffic records that could be used to determine the amount of actual VPN usage.
The documented payment method is credit card, with payment confirmation delivered by email.
The annual subscription provides the lowest effective monthly price and remains relatively inexpensive for a privacy service using company-controlled infrastructure, although the absence of a refund period makes the monthly option more suitable for customers who want to test the service first.
🏢 Data Center
VictoryVPN's infrastructure differs from many consumer VPN services because it is built around company-controlled hardware and proprietary code rather than generic virtual machines rented from public-cloud platforms.
The platform avoids conventional hard drives and a traditional server operating system, limiting persistent data and supporting the no-traffic-logging architecture. Control of the underlying hardware also reduces dependence on third-party cloud administrators.
Current VPN endpoints are available in United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany and France. Each location uses a country-specific IKEv2 endpoint, allowing customers to create several native VPN profiles and switch between them directly from the operating system.
Historically, the network has operated from a larger number of facilities. Nine data centers were associated with the infrastructure in 2019, while older versions of the service also included countries such as Italy and Spain.
Yayabee Sweden AB also operates RIPE-assigned Internet resources, including IPv4 network 45.133.24.0/22 and IPv6 space 2a0e:7440::/29.
VictoryVPN does not provide a contractual percentage-based uptime guarantee such as 99.9% or 99.99%. Operational status information is available for the service, but this should not be treated as a formal SLA.
✍️ Customer Support
Customer assistance is handled mainly through the My Account ticket system and by email at customerservice@victoryvpn.com.
The support environment includes installation documentation, troubleshooting information and device-specific setup instructions. Separate guides cover Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS, iPhone/iPad and Android, making manual IKEv2 configuration reasonably straightforward.
Support requests can be managed from the customer account together with subscription and order information.
There is no public telephone-support service or live-chat channel. Customer service is therefore primarily based on tickets and email.
Some older troubleshooting information still references PPTP-specific networking requirements such as port 1723 and GRE Protocol 47. These belong to the earlier connection platform rather than the current IKEv2/IPsec configuration.
🔨 Control Panel
VictoryVPN does not use a conventional hosting control panel such as cPanel or Plesk.
Account administration is handled through the web-based My Account section. Customers can manage subscriptions, cancel automatic renewal, review orders and communicate with support through tickets.
VPN connections themselves are controlled directly through the device's native networking interface. Windows, macOS, iOS and Android therefore use their built-in IKEv2 capabilities instead of a proprietary VictoryVPN application.
This approach keeps configuration lightweight and avoids an additional software layer, but it also means fewer graphical controls and fewer convenience features than the custom applications supplied by many larger VPN providers.
🎯 Conclusion
VictoryVPN is a long-established Swedish privacy service with roots dating back to 2005/2006 and a technical approach that differs from many mainstream VPN brands. Its main strengths are the company-controlled hardware, proprietary infrastructure, no-traffic-logging architecture, native IKEv2/IPsec connectivity and relatively simple pricing. The current configuration is well suited to customers who prefer using built-in operating-system VPN support rather than installing another application. The United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany and France provide a practical selection of locations for European and North American users, while the annual price keeps long-term costs moderate.
Its limitations are equally clear. Five current country locations represent a relatively small geographic network, there is no money-back guarantee, no percentage-based uptime SLA, and support is limited mainly to tickets and email. The coexistence of legacy PPTP/L2TP information with the current IKEv2 platform also makes parts of the technical documentation less consistent than expected from a security-focused service.
VictoryVPN is therefore most suitable for users who value minimal software, company-controlled infrastructure and a no-logs design more than a very large server network or a feature-heavy proprietary VPN application.
