😠 bad service

😁 Best service ever. I have been using velia for more than a year now there services are amazing.
Further I read the reviews about the customer support people are leaving bad reviews about the support.
But there is one thing to understand at velia customer support is limited to hardware replacement or any network faliour the are not commited to fix any mis-adventure based on bad config or server software related issues.
This kind of support is more than enough for customers like us and according to my understanding velia is a product designed for customers like us as they provide higher resources that cost less money.
If you are a newbee or a direct consumer who wants to host there website with them than I think you are in a wrong place. But if you are a pro in server administration and use there services to build you own infrastructure that you provide to your client than you are at the best place.

Part of the HEG group, Velia was founded back in 2003. The company has grown into a top-leading web provider who became a member of the GoDaddy group in 2017. Velia is proud to state that host more than 25,000 servers and have over 5000 business customers.
Founded in 2000, Velia was initially a sole trader. The company kept on evolving and in 2003, they developed an Autonomous Network (AS) whereas in 2004, they developed the housingflatrate.com platform.
In 2005, they acquired the domain internetdienste.de from the company internetdienste.de Service GmbH. In 2019, Serverloft.eu becomes part of velia.net and in 2020, Velia extended their DDoS protection capacity.
The company focuses mainly on dedicated servers. Besides the pre-built configurations they provide, there is also the possibility to tailor your own custom-built server.
Pre-configured dedicated servers are based on Intel Xeon processors (Single Quad to Dual 14-Core). Customers can also benefit from unlimited data traffic, up to 100 Mbit/s port (optional: 10 Gbit/s).
Included in plans, you will also find KVM/IPMI remote access, firewall protection, as well as the possibility to choose your OS. These are flexible plans, so they can be upgraded at any time.
💰 Price & Cost
Prices for their products are affordable, even when more resources are added to the core server. There are no setup fees and the good news is that they do not require long-term commitments and customers can settle for a month-to-month contract. They do not make a clear statement regarding their refund policy.
⌛ Reliability
Velia offers the standard 99.9% server uptime, just like the majority of companies in the hosting industry. However, they do not seem to state the possibility to get any credit in case your website experiences downtime.

The company is registered in Köln, Germany and they host their servers in the following facilities:
- Frankfurt: powered by carriers like Deutsche Telekom, Level 3, Telia or Cogent; a Tier III data center, this is one of the largest facilities in Germany and it is connected to DE-CIX, one of the largest Internet exchanges.
- Strasbourg: powered by carriers like Deutsche Telekom, Level 3, Cogent, Telia; the DataDock data center is environmentally friendly.
- Miami: powered by Telia or GTT, the data center is built on biometric access systems and CCTV.
-Phoenix: powered by Lumen, Equinix or Telia, the data center promises low latency and high speed performance; powered by UPS systems and backup generators.
- St. Louis: running on network by Cogent or Telia, the DataPort data center was founded in 2003; it is fully redundant and constantly monitored.
- Singapore: powered by Equinix, TATA, NTT or GCX, the Singapore DC is SSAE 16/ISAE3402 SOC 1 Type II, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS certified.
Even if their data centers are located strategically, they do not own these facilities, but they do own the resources they incorporate.

Support is available 24/7 and it is provided on phone, e-mail or ticket support. They can also be found on social media, on Twitter and Facebook. However, there is no knowledgebase available for DIY customers. The bad news is that many complaints have been registered among customers with regards to their customer support.

Velia partners with popular control panels on the market like cPanel, WHM or Plesk which is good news given their easy-to-use interface.
🎯 Conclusion
Velia has been active in the industry for many years and focuses on providing dedicated servers running on robust hardware.Even if their prices are affordable, their refund policy is not clearly stated. They operate from multiple data centers and offer comprehensive support, although the fact that customers complain about their customer service is rather an inconvenience.
Overall, Velia offers dedicated servers that are rich in features and tools, suitable for various types of businesses.

😠 i bought the server and when i tried to access it it is not work when i contacted the support they told me that the H.D failure as
"Dear customer ,
After further investigation in the issue we highly suspect a failed drive here. I would like to boot a live system to check the smart values and to determine the serial number of the failed drive.
Please note that this will lead to a downtime of about 30-60 minuts. Please confirm.
Please note that if the drive is confirmed failed it might cause a dataloss (depending on the RAID level you have and on other criteria ) .
Please confirm to us that you understand \accept the mentioned above so we can check further."
then the server hacked after some days and i lose the client as this hack result
when I asked to cancel my account and refund me no reply for 5 days and I have to wait till the month end

😠 Worst support rude and not helpful. company policy is ridiculous and they don't want to fix their mistakes. they don't take backups and at 17 they stop responding to live communication. if there is a problem with your server they will delete it :D easy fix

😠 velia.net is the worst server provider, the dedicated server often crashes and when you request a partial or full refund they refuse to send refunds, a complete scam, worst customer service.

😠 Don't look at their price.. They have most pathetic support.(After your server purchse).. if go with them just remember "Your server may crash often" and "You will lose any data. They just love to install and uninstall systems instead of taking care your server.

😁 I have been with velia for 4 months now and have two of their entry level e-1230 v5 servers. The support is fantastic and for the price I pay is very good value for money.
Their IPMI on the super micro servers actually works compared to the ilo 1 you get on older HP proliants out there. ( I need to mount my own iso's to install my OP systems )
Tho you will need a chromium based browser no higher than version 41 or Internet explorer ( Version 11 on Win 10 works fine )
Overall great company to work with and will be purchasing more servers in the future.
