I moved to StratoGen after my EC2 based site was affected by several outages at the start of 2011. Since the move I've had zero downtime - literally none. Although the StratoGen service is slightly more expensive, the reliability and performance has been excellent.

I'm on the pay as you go VMware hosting plan in their London datacenter. They have additional datacenters now in the US and Asia but I don't have any experience with them.
