Telenet is a Belgian IT provider of services designed for individuals, small or medium-sized businesses, as well as enterprises. Their website is available in English, French or Dutch.

Telenet does not only specialize in hosting services, but they are also providers of telephony services (mobile/fixed), cable television via HFC (hybrid fibre-coax) network all around Flanders and Brussels.

Customers can choose from products, such as:

Shared Hosting;
SSL Certificates;

Shared hosting packages operate on both Linux and Windows OS. With Linux shared hosting plans, you get a number of freebies included in the plans, such as:

Free domain name;
Free SSL;
Free CMS install;

Their feature-rich plans include common resources usually integrated in shared hosting configurations, such as MySQL databases or backups.

Since 1998, Telenet has offered fixed telephony using its cable network under the brand name Telenet Freephone.

There are a number of optional features included in the Linux shared hosting plans, such as: managed CMS, premium SSL certificate or Microsoft365 mailbox integration. In the Windows shared hosting plans, customers will find the following optional features: CloudOffice email or SSL certificate for HTTP and FTP.

In January 2008, Telenet acquired Hostbasket, Belgium's largest hosting company. On 14 September 2020, Telenet & DPG Media launched streaming service Streamz.

Telenet offers reliable web services for multiple types of customers. The only disadvantage is that they only provide shared hosting plans. Overall, Telenet is a good choice when looking for shared hosting packages.
