Snel.com is an independent Dutch hosting company headquartered in Rotterdam. The Snel.com business was founded in 2010 by Mustafa "Musti" Aslan and Yavuz Aydin, initially operating under the SnelServer name. Standard VPS plans are scalable virtual machines hosted in the Netherlands. The entry VPS includes 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 50 GB SSD storage, unlimited traffic, one snapshot, static IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity and a 1 Gbps uplink. Larger predefined configurations and the customizable Prime option can scale to 64 vCPU, 256 GB RAM and 5 TB SSD storage. Both Linux and Windows operating systems are available.

Managed servers normally do not include unrestricted root or administrator access because Snel retains operational responsibility, although special arrangements may be possible.

The managed service is divided into Sailor, Skipper and Captain levels. Sailor is included with managed servers, while Skipper and Captain add longer support windows, faster incident response, more included engineering time and quicker emergency patching. Captain is the highest level and includes round-the-clock support coverage.

Dedicated hosting uses enterprise hardware with Intel Xeon or AMD EPYC processors and SSD, NVMe or SATA storage. Entry configurations include dedicated CPU resources, ECC memory, hardware RAID, 40 TB of monthly transfer and a 1 Gbps connection. Higher configurations can reach 10 Gbps and support substantially more memory and storage. Stock servers can be delivered rapidly, while specialized configurations may require several working days.

Managed dedicated servers add monitoring, daily encrypted off-site backups, software updates, security administration, web and database server management and assistance with platforms such as Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed, IIS, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server. Managed GPU servers are also available for AI, machine learning, rendering and compute-intensive applications, with hardware and pricing prepared according to project requirements.

White-Label Reseller Hosting allows agencies, developers and hosting resellers to sell hosting under their own identity. The plans use NVMe storage and include Plesk reseller access, daily backups, LiteSpeed Enterprise, Let’s Encrypt SSL and wildcard certificates, email hosting, WordPress Toolkit and customizable customer branding. The entry package supports ten websites, 2 CPU cores, 6 GB memory, 50 GB NVMe storage and unlimited traffic. Higher plans support 25 or 50 websites with additional resources. Free migration is available from the Pro package upward when the customer prepays and commits for at least one year.

The public catalog no longer contains a conventional standalone budget shared-hosting package. Reseller Hosting is currently the closest match for customers who need managed website and email hosting without administering a complete VPS. There is also no publicly priced colocation package in the current product range.

Domain registration covers more than 2,000 extensions. Domains include DNSSEC and can be combined with white-label services for resellers. Email protection is available through SpamExperts, which filters spam, phishing, malware, viruses and ransomware while keeping incoming messages in fallback storage whenever the destination mail server is unavailable. VPS customers can also use a free Smarthost SMTP relay for up to 20,000 outgoing messages because direct outbound port 25 traffic is blocked to reduce abuse and blacklisting.

Self-managed dedicated servers begin at approximately €99.99 per month. Current managed dedicated configurations begin at around €234.99 per month, although discounts, stock and hardware availability can change the final amount. Managed GPU servers and highly customized infrastructure require an individual configuration or quotation.

Reseller Hosting starts at €19.99 per month. Current domain examples include .com from €13.99 for the first year and .nl from €5.99, with renewal prices potentially differing from promotional registration prices. SpamExperts filtering starts at €2.99 per domain per month.

All listed prices are in euros and exclude VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise. Optional control-panel licenses, Windows licenses, additional IP addresses, backup storage, security software and higher management levels can raise the final monthly cost.

Most hosting services are prepaid and renewable one month at a time. Customers can request immediate termination or cancellation at the end of the current billing period. Domains, paid SSL certificates, Microsoft 365 subscriptions, promotional commitments and products purchased under longer discounted terms are exceptions to normal monthly cancellation.

There is no standard money-back guarantee or general refund policy. Snel’s servers are housed at SmartDC in Rotterdam, Netherlands. This is a third-party datacenter facility rather than a datacenter building owned directly by Snel.com.

Physical safeguards include 24/7 on-site security personnel, CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, controlled access, climate management, fire suppression, water detection, UPS systems and backup generators. Connectivity is carrier-diverse, with multiple on-site carriers, redundant links, backbone access and connections to several internet exchanges.

The facility operates with 100% renewable energy and a PUE below 1.15. Enclosed hot and cold aisles and efficient cooling systems support the company’s green-hosting profile.

Snel operates AS49544. Its network specification includes 793 Gbit of capacity, full IPv4 and IPv6 routing, more than 1,700 peers, an MPLS backbone with rapid failover, traffic blackholing, access-control options and scalable connectivity from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps.

Transit and exchange connectivity includes Lumen, formerly Level 3, Cogent, NTT and GTT. Peering connections include AMS-IX, DE-CIX and LINX.

Although the network connects through more than 60 international points of presence, the physical hosting location currently offered to normal server customers is Rotterdam. Customers requiring server deployment in several countries or continents would therefore need a multi-provider architecture.

The standard SLA covers 100% monthly availability of Snel’s network and power facilities. Scheduled maintenance, supplier maintenance, DDoS attacks and other circumstances outside the company’s control are excluded.

SLA compensation for VPS and dedicated servers begins with a 10% monthly credit when availability falls to 99.90%. The credit increases by ten percentage points for each further 0.10% reduction, and availability below 99.00% can qualify for reimbursement of the entire monthly payment. A support ticket must be opened within five working days to claim the credit. Planned maintenance normally takes place on Tuesday nights between 23:00 and 06:00 CET/CEST.

Customer assistance is available through email, live chat, telephone, a contact form, the My.snel.com client area and an extensive support portal. The knowledge base contains guides for server setup, control panels, domains, billing, backups, security and troubleshooting.

Support availability depends on whether the service is managed or unmanaged. Product inquiries, telephone support and ordinary unmanaged email and chat support operate on working days from 09:00 to 17:00 CET/CEST.

Managed Hosting includes 24/7/365 email support. Skipper customers receive chat access from 09:00 to 23:00, while Captain includes 24/7/365 chat support. Telephone support remains available during normal working-day hours.

The standard SLA response target is up to one hour for managed servers and up to eight hours for unmanaged servers. The managed Sailor, Skipper and Captain levels further define incident-response targets of four, two and one hour respectively. All managed servers receive continuous automated monitoring.

Managed service covers the server platform, but customers remain responsible for their websites, custom software and third-party applications unless separate work has been agreed. This division of responsibility is important for e-commerce, SaaS and custom application environments.

🔨 Control Panel

Snel uses the My.snel.com client area for orders, invoices, renewals, cancellations, service details, resource changes and general account management. Customers can add resources, modify services and perform many routine administrative tasks without contacting support.

VPS and dedicated servers can be combined with Plesk, cPanel or DirectAdmin. Available licenses and supported configurations depend on the selected operating system and server package. Linux and Windows Server choices are available, together with more than ten operating-system templates on compatible products.

Reseller Hosting uses the Plesk Reseller Panel, allowing resellers to create customer accounts, define packages, allocate resources and apply their own logo and branding. The combination of regular VPS, dedicated-core NVMe VPS, Windows hosting, fully managed servers and white-label reseller hosting covers a useful range of business requirements. The managed tiers are particularly suitable for companies that need reliable server administration but do not maintain an internal Linux or Windows infrastructure team.

There are several limitations to consider. Hosting is concentrated in one physical city, there is no standard money-back guarantee, prices normally exclude VAT, and full 24/7 human support is mainly attached to managed service levels. Customers selecting unmanaged VPS or dedicated servers must be prepared to secure, update, monitor and back up their own systems. "Unlimited" traffic is also governed by reasonable and fair use rather than representing unrestricted network consumption under every circumstance.
