We zijn in 2004 gestart als één van de scherpst geprijsde Internet Service Providers van Nederland. De door ons gezette trend is door velen gevolgd. Anno 2011 zijn we één van de grotere hosting partijen van Nederland en bedienen we meer dan 25.000 klanten.
Missie
PCextreme biedt een breed assortiment aan kant en klare (web)hosting diensten met een zeer scherpe prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Dit maakt de dienstverlening bereikbaar voor een zeer breed publiek van zowel prijsbewuste consumenten als middel- en kleinbedrijf, binnen en buiten Nederland. De grote schaal waarop PCextreme opereert stelt ons staat in om betrouwbaarheid van de dienst te combineren met een scherpe prijs. Ondanks de lage prijs bieden we aanvullende ondersteuning in het gebruik van onze diensten en bij het oplossen van incidenten. Een goede behandeling van de klant staat centraal.
Visie
PCextreme streeft er naar de huidige positie in de hosting markt vast te houden en verder uit te bouwen. We zijn een pionier op de betaalbare hostingmarkt en willen dit karakter behouden. Om dit te bewerkstelligen werken we voortdurend aan de innovatie en verbreding van onze dienstverlening. Ook de informatievoorziening richting de klant kent voortdurende aandacht. Door hier veel aandacht aan te besteden beperken we de behoefte aan persoonlijke ondersteuning en kunnen we de prijs van de dienst scherp houden.

Een solide infrastructuur
Om onze diensten op hoogwaardig niveau te kunnen leveren opereert PCextreme vanuit een hypermodern datacenter en beschikken we over alle nodige faciliteiten.
Een state of the art netwerk, redundant uitgevoerde stroomtoevoer en snelle - intern ontwikkelde - storage oplossingen zijn ingrediënten voor het bieden van een degelijk hosting product.
Faciliteiten
Netwerk
Een snelle en betrouwbare verbinding met het internet staan centraal in alle door PCextreme geleverde diensten. We hebben daarom een modern en redundant uitgevoerd netwerk. Onze peerings garanderen daarnaast de benodigde connectiviteit en snelheid, overal ter wereld.
Onze routers staan in een redundante opstelling en zijn met meerdere gigabit verbindingen verbonden met de buitenwereld. Mocht één van de routers uitvallen, dan wordt het verkeer omgeleid via een van de andere routers. We zijn aangesloten op bekende knooppunten zoals de AMS-IX en NL-IX en zijn verbonden met hoogwaardige transits zoals Globalcrossing, Interoute, Cogent en Tata.
De AMS-IX faciliteert de fysieke verbindingen met zo goed als alle internet providers van Nederland. Dit garandeert een snelle en stabiele verbinding vanaf de computers van de thuisgebruiker.
Redundantie
Onze routers staan in een redundante opstelling zodat er bij onverhoopte uitval geen netwerk onderbrekingen plaats zullen vinden. Dit geldt tevens voor onze stroomvoorziening.
Kwaliteitsnetwerk
We maken voor onze routers, coreswitches en switches gebruik van kwalitatief hoogwaardige apparatuur van Brocade. Ons netwerk heeft daarmee een grote overcapaciteit.
IPv6 Netwerk
Ons netwerk heeft native ondersteuning voor IPv6. We zijn daarmee voorbereid op de (nabije) toekomst waarin een tekort aan IPv4 adressen zal ontstaan.
Datacenter
Onze diensten worden geleverd vanuit een eigen vloer in het Gyrocenter DC II. Een hypermodern, in 2010 opgeleverd datacenter met voldoende groeipotentieel.
Vanzelfsprekend is het centrum goed beveiligd tegen inbraak, stroomuitval en brand. Een zogenaamd Building Management System (BMS) is daarnaast verantwoordelijk voor de monitoring van temperatuur, luchtvochtigheid en stroomtoevoer.
Het datacenter is daarnaast een van de eerste datacentra in Europa die een Energy Usage Effectiveness (EUE) norm heeft. Dit betekent dat het centrum aan zeer strenge milieu eisen voldoet. PCextreme draagt hier extra aan bij door op haar datavloer gebruik te maken van 30-50% efficiëntere koeling op basis van Cooling Alleys.
Redundantie
Zowel het netwerk als de stroom voorziening zijn redundant uitgevoerd om onverhoopte verstoringen adequaat het hoofd te kunnen bieden.

Onze serverruimtes hebben voldoende capaciteit om de komende jaren de groei van onze klant en de eigen dienstverlening te kunnen faciliteren.
Groen datacenter
Het datacenter gebruikt uitsluitend energie afkomstig uit windmolenparken. Dit maakt het een zeer milieuverantwoord onderkomen.

Our services at high level to supply operates from a state PCextreme modern data center and we have all the necessary facilities.
A state of the art network, redundant power and speed - internally developed - storage solutions are the ingredients for providing a solid hosting product.

Network
A fast and reliable connection to the Internet are central to all services provided by PCextreme. We have developed a modern and redundant network. We also guarantee the necessary peering connectivity and speed, anywhere in the world.
Our routers are in a redundant setup with multiple gigabit connections and are connected to the outside world. If one of the routers fails, traffic is routed through one of the other routers. We are connected to nodes known as the AMS-IX and NL-IX and are associated with high transits such as Global Crossing, Interoute, Cogent and Tata.
The AMS-IX facilitates the physical connections with almost all ISPs in the Netherlands. This guarantees a fast and stable connection from the computers of home users.
Redundancy
Our routers are in a redundant setup so that when unexpected failures no network interruptions will take place. This also applies to our power.
Quality Network
We create for our routers, switches and core switches using high quality equipment from Brocade. Our network thus has a large overcapacity.
IPv6 Network
Our network has native support for IPv6. We are thus prepared for the (near) future where a shortage of IPv4 addresses will occur.
Datacenter
Our services are delivered from its own floor in the Gyrocenter DC II. A hyper-modern data center in 2010 with enough growth potential.
Obviously, the center is well protected against burglary, fire and power. Called a Building Management System (BMS) is also responsible for monitoring temperature, humidity and power.
The data center is also one of the first data centers in Europe to an Energy Usage Effectiveness (EUE) standard. This means that the center with very strict environmental requirements. PCextreme further contributes to this through her data floor using 30-50% more efficient cooling of Cooling Alleys.

The hosting of PCextreme is extremely expensive compared to what you get. I have 7 websites hosted with them and there are always problems. It took them 2 years to update to a newer version of php. The websites are constantly down and unreachable and when i try to contact them they are very unfriendly and refuse to give any useful statusupdate.
I would have stopped using their service long time ago, but it's way easier to start hosting with them then to stop hosting with them. As soon as you paid them, the service evaporates.
