😞 I joined Memset in 2012 and for 5 years+ they were impeccable. Little to no downtime, excellent customer service and good value. Shame that all changed.
Over the last two years the downtime increased and customer service quality dropped. But to top it all the final nail in the coffin was when they stopped being transparent about the issues.
The first downtime I had this year was in the early hours of the morning and Memset decided to not notify any impacted customers. Why? I'm guessing it was in the hope that they didn't notice. They then reported the downtime it was less than the reality. I was awake as I had been alerted by downtime monitoring software that my clients sites were down so I could see exactly how long it was down. I had to argue with them back and forward over tickets to get any kind of compensation for the downtime. They apologised and said they didn't get it right this time but would sort things going forward.

😠 Memset's support team are astonishingly useless.
They hang up on you when asking them questions
They refuse answer basic questions about billing unless you've got an SLA
When you do have an SLA, they're tech support are too incompetent to anwser your questions
They'll tell you to disable able backups as their systems fall over when trying to do incremental backups.

😁 Excellent premium host
We've used them for about 5 years and the service/reliability was fantastic, the only outage we had was scheduled, when they moved to a new data center, and on a dedicated linux server the uptime was over 1000 days when we decided it was time to upgrade the OS!!
No problem with customer service either, hardly had to ring them but on the few occasions we did they were helpful and knowledgeable.
you can get cheaper but if you want a premium company with a great SLA I'd highly recommend them.

😠 It is such a shame that Memset cannot seem to get their customer support right.
On numerous occasions we have had to wait days to reach an answer, due to very slow response times. (Sometimes we have received only one reply to an e-mail thread per day, meaning that it has taken 2-3 days to finish a conversation).
This is very disappointing, especially as we had expected excellent customer service having been recommended to Memset by a trusted associate.
