I keep getting invoices form Impact Hosting. I have NEVER hosted with them!! I have talked with someone on their online chat and they assured me that it will be taken care of. But they keep slamming my in box with these bogus invoices.

In the meantime, if you go to thier web site, it says "it's under construction." No way to call or an address or anything.

I DO NOT trust them one bit and think they are running some sort of scam.

My suggestion is not to contact these people if you can help it.There are other hosting and web building sites that keep their word and follow through with you the customer and you can reach them for technical support or help.
These people do not return telephone calls, they do not answer emails or help /support tickets. They do not respond to any messages of any kind. You might as well kiss your money good bye and the thought of ever talking to someone after you have set up a web page, do not count on Mr Joyce or Mr Snow you can never ever reach, they never return telephone calls. They will not update any information for you web site, even if you are paying for a contract or monthly hosting fee. Our religious community has been trying to reach them about our web site for six months. The take their miney out of our account, but they will not contact you .
Its actually time we consider legal action since they are not really
keeping their part of our signed contract.

Discovered yesterday that my company domain had expired. Why? Because my reseller had been acquired by Impact Hosting, and they apparently did not honor the auto-renew policy I had set with my previous reseller. Chatted with a support rep about it, and she started a trouble ticket at 11am, presumably with Billing. I was very clear that this was a critical issue, yet she assigned a priority of 'Low' to my ticket.

At 11:52am, I received an email from Taylor Snow - Impact Hosting Management, requesting my personal info before he could assist. I replied to the email with the info he requested.

At 1:42pm I had not received any reply, so I sent a message via the trouble ticket interface asking for a progress report.

At 2:40pm I started a Chat Session again, with the same operator. She wondered what the delay was, then said that she would ask. She returned to say that they had requested personal info in order to process the ticket. I replied that I had already set it via a reply to [read more...]

Worst company ever. Tons of downtime, slow loading pages, and error messages. Customer service is extremely poor. 2+ months waiting on a response is not ok. The inability to read ticket responses because they are white text on a white background shows just how incapable they are in terms of site design and makes one wonder if their tech support is just as incapable.

In addition to all of this, I've been told to contact the owner, Taylor Snow, numerous times in the past 6+ months and have still yet to be able to reach him or have contact. Ironically enough, this mystery owner appears to be leaving his own reviews here posing as a valid customer instead of handling customer service issues and dealing with his business issues. (Refer to post right below mine. "Dale" seems to have acquired Mr. Snow's email address. Looks as if Mr. Snow is about as brilliant as his support team.)

I am a fairly new client of Impact Hosting. Their sales team and support team have been nothing but helpful.

After reading a few of these reviews i was skeptical. But after speaking with a manager he assured me that the bad reviews were due to Impact buying companies and doing transfers from old systems to theirs.

I have had nothing but great service from their team. They worked with me on a great price and i know now that they have my data in very safe hands.

I had been with thebook (software workshop) for 10 years and they were everything you could want in a hosting company. Unfortunately they sold out to impact hosting in the fall of 2009 and change couldn't have been more different. My websites were down for days on end. I would submit a ticket (only way to contact them) and receive ridiculous excuses until things were fixed. Finally in December I was told "We are sorry for the continued outages, the server your accounts are on is dieing" but it was not until March 2010 that my account was migrated to the new server.
That was not the end of the problems though. I was given incorrect log-in info, my cgi-bin was removed (and has still not been re-instated), my .htaccess file was overwritten (but I was not notified of the change).
In the past they have attempted to overcharge me and double bill me for service. I pointed out the error and it was corrected, but now they have placed unauthorized charges on my credit card and at the same [read more...]

I find impacthosting.com to be very dependable and quality company. If you all would have paid attention to and read the emails they have been sending out since mid December of 2009, you would understand where they are coming from. They bought the old 'TheBook.com' or 'Software workshop' as some of their old clients might have remembered about one year ago. And, once again if you had READ the emails, would have understood that the old company that you all knew and loved, very abruptly shut down the servers and Impact had to RECREATE everything from scratch. I applaud them as im sure that was not an easy job to do and im glad i did not have to do it. I have been understanding with them through this whole process and as a great gesture they have given me discounts and other 'thank yous' for being understanding and staying loyal. Impacthosting is truly appalling and I'm amazed if anyone would use them again. It was only until I moved to a new hosting company that I realised how absolutely dismal Impacthosting are and how slow verything was.

Totally disgusted with this vile company which caused my business immense problems through their appalling service. Lost a lot of momey by prepaying but could not be bothered to get a refund as they never answer any calls. Absolutely hopeless.

We have been with impacthosting for 6 years, and until their recent server failure have had no issues. We have already transferred our email accounts. I emailed support@impacthosting to close our accounts, and received an automated response from newimpacthosting.com/support to track my ticket. I believe they are still trying to recover, so if you are looking for answers, try that domain. I'd recommend however going to a new provider. If they had no contingency plan for such a large company, that's a huge failure.

We'd been with Impact Hosting for about 7 years. Originally they were in Marlton, NJ and had great customer service which was always helpful and prompt. Somewhere along the way, they were bought and presumably relocated to Ohio. In early 2009 quality began to deteriorate rapidly (very slow response, inadequate response, unstable web site,frequent email failurs, etc.) culminating with a complete failure of their servers. We were without web site or email for five days until we were able to switch to another hosting company. This was just after renewing with IH for three months, and IH refuses to refund for the unused two months of service caused by their utter failure. This is theft of services. Impact Hosting cost us time, money and interfered with our ability to serve our clients. They had an Impact all right-all negative.

Stay away from this company-they are a nightmare.

My web site and email at www.impacthosting.com have been inaccessible for 5+ weeks. Their phone line is busy every time I call. I got through via email which took weeks for them to answer. They ignored my pleas for technical assistance and instead informed me that there is no warranty, the service is "as-is", and they do not give refunds. Ok, so the service is "as-is". I get that, but I didn't get ANY service. Their web site said they knew this was bound to happen as their servers were 13 years old.

It's incredible that they could get away with this.

How do we get involved in a class action law suit against Impact Hosting (www.impacthosting.com)? Can you imagine that they won't give me my money back? I can't my email or my web site! And I prepaid for 3 months!

Impact Hosting is the "parent" company of TheBookHosting which has gone dark as of about Feb 18, 2010. No customer service, no cPanel access, no return phone calls. I have filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's office. Email service down for over 2 weeks! I transferred all hosting accounts to other providers.

I do not say this lightly as I am married to an attorney. Impacthosting.com is dangerously close to committing fraud. By their own admission they caused my site and email to run very slowly so I would call them. They said they had sent several emails asking for the next quarter's payment. None had been received. Odd considering they host my primary email account. Anyway, I gave them my credit card and didn't think a thing of it. I'd been with them for years. All along I was dissatisfied with the customer service, features, outages, spam filtering, etc., but I hadn't gotten around to finding a new provider.

Anyway, a few days after I prepaid, their operation shut down. My web site was gone. My email was gone. Even THEIR web site was gone. I called. I sent emails. Nobody ever got back to me. It's been OVER TWO WEEKS AND MY WEB SITE AND EMAIL ARE DOWN! They put up some lame explanation for what happened. Read for yourselves:

Been with Impact Hosting for over 10 years. Up until recently, we have never had a problem with Impact Hosting. They provided an 800 number for support. Emails were answered same day. Support was great.

Now that has all changed. They dropped their 800 number for a 567 number. Apparently they only have one line because I've only gotten through once out of about 60 calls (at least). I try to email and they start a support ticket. Try to continue with the support ticket and the ticket disappears indicating "an error has occurred". Start a new ticket and back to square one. Works for about a day and then "an error has occurred". My website has been down for more then a week now.

Our business depends on our online commerce being up and running at all times. Now our online commerce pages just say 404 Not Found. Our customers think we went out of business.
