Something has changed at Hypermart. They used to be a good company. Customer service is horrible. If you call on the phone, you can not understand the person you are speaking to. They want my drivers license to verify my account, yet, they have my credit card and are taking the money out each month, so, no one's filed a mis-use of the credit card, so obviously it is me. Yet, they are holding my webname, blocking my site until I send my driver's license. Well, my domain expires October, I will NEVER go with them again. They are so confused, each person tells you something different. You can not have a difference of opinion or they will block you, not allow you to transfer your site to another hosting company and literally hold you hostage.

deleted my account with no option to recover
had been with Hypermart 17 years. Updated my bank, and forgot to update the service. This happened once before and they prevented emails, I noticed, logged in and updated account. This time Spam service was deleting their emails, but instead of suspending the account so I could realise and pay they just deleted it. websites, emails everything. I offered to pay to restore - they told me I would need to sign up as a new account. madness.

Terrible Bulling service!
Been a customer of Hypermart for 13 years now, since 1999. The only other company Ive ever had this much trouble with over the years, besides AT and T. I could not get it through the persons head that I didn't want a discount, all I wanted was a date that my Weebly Builder was due, and this person kept insisting that the prices change from day to day, and all I was asking for was the date that my bill was due on. Kept repeating the discount over and over again , until I finally hung up. Going to look for a new Co. Can someone recommend one?

Worked with Hypermart from 2006. They were very good in the beginning and I expanded, until I had many sites. I reccomended them to many other companies and non-profits who moved thier sites to them. In 2009 they started having outages and they refused to change their pricing from 2006 to reflect current market pricing. I cancelled in September of 2010, however they continued to charge me until March of 2011. They say I never cancelled and instead of offering me an option to maybe become a good customer again they said they have fantastic customer service and that I was a bad customer.

Well I promised a new review.
It has gone from bad to worse.
After being talked into getting an extended hosting contract and a promise of fixes. the certificate was finally confirmed but when finally getting the shopsite files transfered, they installed shopsite starter when I had paid for shopsite Pro. Just paid for it in fact $539.00. A day later after all my advanced features were disabled, they have yet to fix it even though it was escalated by support contact to "catastrophe" level. Not even a word as to what or how or when they might actually fix it!

I have been with hypermart for over 7 years. and was fine for the most part though at times the response is very slow. Recently however my shopsite connections were showing as not secure. I was told I needed to buy a security certificate so that they could redirect my shopping cart to show my website instead of Shopsite.hypermart.net. After almost a month of trying to use support where they kept saying it was "resolved" and I had to repeatedly say it was not, I was able, by experimentation, to find out that many of the shopsite templates were not compatible with current security, which means I figured it out when they couldn't. However the problem persists that my store is not referred to my website instead of "shopsite.hypermart.net" While they keep promising that they know how to fix it, it is still not fixed despite paying an extra $159.00. I have been a customer of Hypermart's for 7 years. The phones reps ave twice promised action and did not do as promised. The reps responding to the tickets dismiss the evidence presented through the tickets. This last issue arrised from an automatic domain renewal not taking place. The excuse was that they have been sending notices to an obsolete email even though they have my current email address o file. Out of frustration, I requested the automatic domain privacy renewal to be cancelled and the account to be cancelled as well. Neither cancellation took place as requested, so my debit card was charged. The ticket rep dismissed the 7/10/10 and 7/11/10 notes and refuses to refund the unauthorized charges. I am appauled at this company's treatment towards a long-term customer.

Control Panel is a mess! If you have to update your email addresses, it has to be done in too many places and then you cross your fingers that it gets saved (and doesn't revert back to the old email address).
Customer Service is less than knowledgeable. I can submit a request with technical support, but they will not provide me with the correct answers.
FINAL SOLUTION: I have transferred my hosting provider to a better provider. HOWEVER, when I tried to do so, Hypermart was IMPOSSIBLE and either dysfunctional on their technical side (wrong email address and not knowledgeable about the process - they even thought an EPP code was the same as a Verification Code, which it is not) ~ or ~ they were purposely trying to make it difficult for me to switch (i.e. could care less about a customer they are not retaining).
Glad I switched to a provider in the United States (Hypermart is in Canada)

I have hosted my main site at hypermart for 10 yrs. They have provided basic services which appear to work correctly. A few years ago they shut off access to my site. They said they needed payment. I tried to pay them through their site before the shutoff, that function was broken for quite sometime. I called support many times with no answer. I eventually talked to someone and I had to fight with them to take a payment giving various reasons for the inability to take payment. Strange but true.
I recently built a custom server and moved the site to it. A chat service agent pointed me to a page that would allow me to cancel reoccurring payments which I did before the payment date. They charged me anyway. The next chat rep just kept telling me over and over that the account wasn't set to cancel until august (this is in March). I had to tell him over and over not to charge my account as it wasn't valid and to delete all of my information from their servers. Of course there is no option [read more...]

I've used their service for over a decade and have been generally satified, but recently things have turned for the worst. For example, occasionally I could not submit a ticket for help. I tried many times until I finally had to phone them and found out that there was some glitch, so they reset my account and then it worked again. But now it doesn't work again so I just phone them - I'm moving my account elsewhere anyway.
And the primary reason I'm leaving them? Well, they had this big advertisement campaign that I could accept some special package whereby I could have up to 300 gigs of webspace. I started to use that up, and after almost a year one of my customers reported that my site was down. I started researching and discovered that indeed it was down. I enquired why and they told me that the 300 gigs was only for webpages and not for files or pictures etc. They simply shut down my site without any warning. At present I am a very, very unhappy customer, having spent so long building a website since September 2008, but never being able to use the website.

My dream is to create a website that people enjoy and can join via a mailing list and remain a member for many years - I wish to create an enjoyable, successful small business for myself.

NO ONE can join my website. Hypermart.net has refused to repair a simple joining page site bug, and continually harasses me for more money.

I have stopped paying my site fees, as I see no point in continuing to fund a company that does not and cannot provide a simple functioning website.

When trying over several months to resolve the issue, I find myself in live chat with Indian temp staff based in Mangalore, India who use fake anglo-saxon names, perhaps in order to give the impression that the customer is chatting with Americans - who knows.
