ho.ua is a Ukrainian hosting service that has operated since 2005. The business is legally operated by individual entrepreneur Nataliia Vitaliivna Vlasenko from Kyiv. More than two decades of continuous activity give the company an unusually long track record, especially within the free and low-cost hosting market.

The service focuses on free hosting, paid Linux shared hosting, lifetime hosting, unmanaged VPS and domain registration assistance. Its packages are primarily suited to personal websites, small business pages, static projects, educational use and customers who already understand basic website or Linux server administration.

The free hosting package works well for testing PHP applications, learning FTP and MySQL, or maintaining a small personal website. Every account receives a technological address using a subdomain such as login.ho.ua or login.houa.org. The package supports one website, up to ten domain aliases, an SSL certificate and as much as 2 GB of SSD storage after activation.

PHP, MySQL, CGI, Perl, Python, cron jobs, SSI, .htaccess and phpMyAdmin are available once the account is fully activated. This makes the free package more functional than many simplified website-builder trials, although it remains a restricted environment rather than a permanent commercial hosting plan.

Free hosting requires a visible backlink to ho.ua. Mass mailing is prohibited, outgoing connections are restricted, and cURL can communicate only with approved destinations. Resource-intensive applications, outdated CMS installations, online games, chat systems, torrent trackers, proxy services and several older website platforms are not permitted.

Accounts can also be closed when they remain unchanged for an extended period or repeatedly exceed CPU, database, storage or file limits. The free service should therefore be treated as a temporary trial. Different account conditions use maximum periods of three and six months, so it is not a dependable long-term substitute for paid hosting.

Big Hosting is the largest conventional shared-hosting package. It includes 50 GB of SSD storage, ten separate websites, up to 100 domain aliases, SSL certificates, MySQL databases, PHP, CGI, Perl, Python, cron jobs, phpMyAdmin and daily backups. Its daily resource allowance reaches 1,500 seconds of CPU processing and 270 seconds of SQL processing.

Economy Hosting is designed for smaller projects. It provides 20 GB of SSD storage, two separate websites, up to 20 domains, SSL certificates, databases and the same scripting environment. Daily limits are 900 seconds of CPU processing and 120 seconds of SQL processing.

Static Hosting includes 50 GB of SSD storage, support for ten websites and as many as 100 domains. PHP, MySQL and other dynamic server-side technologies are excluded. This package is suitable for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, downloadable files and other static content that does not require a database or application runtime.

Traffic is unlimited across the paid shared-hosting packages, and SSL certificates are included. Email mailboxes are not part of the hosting service. Customers who need addresses under their own domain must use an external email provider, which adds another account and billing relationship for business users.

Lifetime Hosting provides the Big or Economy package through a single payment instead of monthly renewal. The plans retain the normal traffic allowance, scripting environment, websites, databases and storage limits. Additional resources can be purchased when a project grows.

The lifetime arrangement applies primarily to continued hosting availability. Full technical support is included during the first two years, but indefinite support is not part of the one-time purchase. Customers considering this option should also maintain independent backups, since a lifetime package does not eliminate normal operational and account risks.

The VPS range is divided into SSD+, RAM+ and CPU+ categories, with both standard and lower-cost Economy configurations. Every virtual server includes root access, one public IPv4 address, unlimited traffic, SSD storage and Local RAID. Additional IPv4 addresses are available for $2 each.

SSD+ configurations prioritize storage, RAM+ servers provide larger memory allocations, and CPU+ packages offer more processor cores. Available operating-system families include Debian, Rocky Linux and Ubuntu.

These VPS plans are unmanaged. Customers are responsible for Linux administration, SSH access, server security, application installation, firewall configuration, updates and troubleshooting. No commercial VPS control panel is included by default.

Some VPS configurations use different prices and resource allocations across the Ukrainian and international sections. The international information also contains an older promotional period that expired in 2025. The exact disk, RAM and CPU allocation should be checked inside the payment interface before completing an order.

Docker and VPN usage are restricted under the VPS operating conditions. The platform is therefore better suited to conventional Linux web servers, development environments and lightweight application hosting than to container-heavy deployments or VPN services.

Domain registration is handled through a related registrar service. Common extensions include .com.ua, .kiev.ua, .org.ua, .com and .net. Ho.ua does not operate authoritative name servers for externally registered domains. Customers normally retain DNS management at their registrar and direct an A record toward the appropriate ho.ua server.

The interface is available in Ukrainian, Russian and English. Prices in the Ukrainian section are primarily displayed in Ukrainian hryvnia, while international pages use euros. Certain additional services, including extra IP addresses, are priced in U.S. dollars.

The English version is usable, although parts of the translation are uneven and some product details differ between language sections. The website itself has an old-fashioned layout, compact forms and a traditional account-management flow. It remains functional, but it is less convenient on modern mobile devices than newer hosting dashboards.

💰 Price & Cost

Ho.ua is positioned at the very low-cost end of the Ukrainian hosting market.

Big Hosting costs approximately 75 UAH or €1.94 per month. The one-time lifetime version costs approximately 1,790 UAH or €35.40.

Economy Hosting costs approximately 63 UAH or €1.64 per month, while its lifetime option is approximately 1,512 UAH or €29.90.

Static hosting begins at approximately 55 UAH or €1.38 per month. This package offers considerable storage for the price but does not include PHP, MySQL or other dynamic hosting functions.

International VPS pricing starts at approximately €3.58 per month for SSD+ Economy. RAM+ Economy begins near €3.90 per month, while CPU+ Economy starts around €4.80 per month. Standard configurations cost more and provide larger allocations.

Payments can be completed using Visa, Mastercard, online banking, bank transfer, supported Ukrainian bank payment channels or an invoice issued to a legal entity. Card payments are normally processed faster, while bank payments can require at least one working day before appearing in the account.

There is no conventional money-back guarantee. When a customer terminates the agreement early, the unused balance is normally not returned as cash. Another service may sometimes be provided for the remaining value.

When ho.ua closes a paid account, the treatment of any remaining balance depends on the reason for closure and the applicable account conditions.

Files can remain temporarily available after hosting expiration or closure, but retention periods vary between approximately ten days and as long as three months. This grace period should never replace an independent backup routine.

🏢 Data Center

Hosting and VPS systems are located in Ukraine. The main shared-hosting test address is 91.228.146.11, using the hostname s1.ho.ua and a Kyiv network location.

The address is announced through AS28907, registered to Internet Invest Ltd. and associated with MiroHost. This places the hosting environment within an established Ukrainian network used for website hosting and internet infrastructure.

VPS packages use local SSD storage and Local RAID. Paid shared-hosting packages include daily filesystem and database backups.

Backup retention can reach 30 days, although the actual number of available restore points depends on account size and data volume. In normal operation, at least several restore points are maintained rather than a guaranteed daily copy for every day of the month.

Restoration is handled through technical support. Customers must provide the required backup date and identify the affected website or database. Database recovery can involve a complete restoration or delivery of a compressed SQL dump for selected data.

Ho.ua does not provide a quantified uptime guarantee or formal service-level agreement. Local RAID, daily shared-hosting backups and its long operating history provide a reasonable foundation for personal and small websites, but the service is not ideal for applications that require contractual uptime, financial credits or enterprise disaster-recovery commitments.

Customer support is primarily available through email and the online contact form. Billing questions can be sent to billing@ho. Telegram and WhatsApp contact options are also available.

Shared-hosting assistance covers account activation, domain configuration, passwords, backups, databases, FTP access and platform-related technical problems. The knowledge base includes practical guidance for PHP, MySQL, phpMyAdmin, .htaccess, file permissions, logs, domains and common server errors.

VPS assistance is intentionally limited. Customers are expected to administer the operating system, applications, firewall, services and server security independently. Support concentrates on infrastructure access and issues that cannot be solved from inside the virtual server.

Telephone support is not part of the normal service, and there is no published 24/7 response-time commitment.

Shared-hosting accounts normally become functional within approximately one hour after activation. VPS provisioning can require up to one working day after payment is received.

Lifetime-hosting customers receive technical support during the first two years. The hosting service continues afterward, but unlimited lifetime technical assistance is not included.

🔨 Control Panel

Shared-hosting customers use a proprietary ho.ua control panel. It manages domain aliases, separate websites, databases, passwords, hosting renewal, resource statistics, logs and basic file operations.

A browser-based file manager is included for customers who do not want to use a separate FTP application. Website files can also be uploaded through standard FTP access.

MySQL databases are managed through phpMyAdmin. The panel can create additional document roots for separate websites, activate access and error logs, restore initial account files and change essential account settings.

The control panel is functional but much simpler than cPanel, Plesk or a modern cloud-management dashboard. Email mailbox administration and authoritative DNS hosting are not included.

VPS packages do not include a hosting control panel. Customers receive root and SSH access and must install, license and maintain any preferred server-management software themselves.

🎯 Conclusion

ho.ua is most suitable for customers who value extremely low prices, Ukrainian server location and basic Linux hosting more than premium support or modern account automation.

Its main strengths are more than 20 years of operation, temporary free hosting, inexpensive paid hosting, one-time lifetime plans, SSD storage, Local RAID, daily shared-hosting backups and affordable unmanaged VPS.

The shared packages can work well for personal websites, educational projects, static websites, small informational pages and lightweight PHP applications. The VPS range is practical for experienced Linux users who need an inexpensive Ukrainian virtual server and are comfortable managing it without assistance.

The main limitations are the absence of a formal uptime SLA, integrated email hosting, managed VPS administration, a conventional refund guarantee and an included VPS control panel. Shared hosting also has strict resource and content restrictions, while outgoing connections are tightly controlled.

The interface and product presentation are dated, and certain VPS specifications, backup periods and account-retention rules vary between sections. Customers should confirm the final configuration and maintain their own backups before relying on the service.

Ho.ua remains a realistic budget option for small and non-critical projects. Businesses that require guaranteed uptime, managed administration, integrated professional email, rapid multichannel support or enterprise-grade recovery commitments will need a more comprehensive hosting platform.
