GlobalConnect Deploys Fiber Between Nordics and Germany - GlobalConnect (globalconnect.net) Deploys Fiber Between Nordics And Germany
During the coming year, network infrastructure provider GlobalConnect will lay a fiber-optic connection from the far north of Sweden to Berlin, Germany. The fiber cable will help secure high-speed connectivity and capacity to new and existing customers in the region. It is also intended to future-proof the Nordics as an attractive area for global tech industry investments.
The fiber project would primarily cater to GlobalConnect's wholesale business, GlobalConnect Carrier, targeting the high-capacity needs of carriers, systems integrators, and tech giants.
"This is the largest digital infrastructure project we've seen in the Nordics in recent years," said Regina Donato Dahlström, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GlobalConnect Carrier. "Robust and future-proof infrastructure for high-capacity data is crucial to global technology companies looking at the Nordics as a potential area of establishment."
