Enavn Review 2026. Is enavn.dk good web hosting in Denmark?

📄 Editorial Review

(3*) 🔧 Services: Web HostingDomain Registration
enavn.dk is a Danish hosting provider connected with the enavn ApS / Fionia IT ApS business identity, with CVR 25531205 and a registered presence in Odense C. The brand has a long-running Danish hosting profile, with business history going back to the mid-1990s and legal/service references tied to Fionia IT ApS. The wider Fionia IT environment also includes names such as Prima Servers ApS, cHosting ApS, and enavn ApS, giving the company a small but established Danish infrastructure background.

The main hosting product is cPanel Web Hosting, available in Small, Medium, and Large packages. These plans include SSD storage, MySQL/MariaDB databases, traffic allowances, integrated mail hosting, instant setup, migration help, LiteSpeed Webserver, HTTPS/SSL protection, 21-day backup history, SSH access, online file manager, one-click applications such as WordPress and PrestaShop, and selectable PHP versions up to the current 8.x line. This makes enavn.dk a good fit for customers who prefer the familiar cPanel ecosystem instead of a proprietary control-panel environment.

Their Mailhosting line is separate from web hosting and comes in Small, Medium, and Large variants with cPanel, webmail, forwarding, aliases, POP3/IMAP, spam filtering, and migration help. They also provide Microsoft 365 Exchange services, from Exchange Online Kiosk through Exchange Online Plan 1 and Microsoft 365 Business Standard, with calendar, contacts, shared calendar/contact functionality, deleted email recovery, spam and virus filtering, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and Office applications depending on the selected plan.

Other available services include DNS management, domain forwarding, webhotel aliases, SSL certificates, domain registration/transfer, and Diskhotel storage packages. Diskhotel is billed yearly and includes a web-based control panel, Mac and Windows apps, SSL encryption, unlimited file size, and storage tiers from 5 GB to 50 GB. The Cloud Virtual Server category still exists, although the active store area does not show visible server products; the knowledgebase still contains Cloud Virtual Server guidance for Ubuntu/Linux, SSH, backups, and basic resource sizing.

The website supports Danish and English, and the WHMCS client area includes many interface languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, and others. The design is practical and usable, with a standard WHMCS hosting-client feel rather than a large enterprise-style interface.

💰 Price & Cost

Prices are listed in Danish kroner (DKK) and include VAT. Web hosting starts at 55 DKK/month for Small, then 119 DKK/month for Medium and 229 DKK/month for Large. Mailhosting starts at 35 DKK/month, with Medium at 44 DKK/month and Large at 60 DKK/month. DNS management is free, domain forwarding costs 10 DKK/month, and webhotel alias service costs 12 DKK/month.

SSL certificates are available from 99 DKK/month for Standard SSL, 149 DKK/month for Wildcard SSL, and 229 DKK/month for Extended Validation SSL. Diskhotel pricing is yearly: 108 DKK/year for Starter, 288 DKK/year for Business, and 588 DKK/year for Enterprise.

Payment is available by automatic card payment, with card data handled through external payment infrastructure rather than stored directly by enavn.dk. Bank transfer is also available, especially for foreign-bank payments. Virtual hosting accounts are normally prepaid for 12 months unless another agreement exists, while dedicated server and co-location accounts are billed monthly unless otherwise agreed.

A general 14-day return right applies to products, but domains are excluded once registered or taken into use. This works more like a statutory return/cancellation framework than a classic hosting money-back guarantee. A separate 30-day hosting money-back guarantee is not clearly available.

🏢 Data Center

enavn.dk stores customer information on dedicated servers located in secured Danish hosting centers. Their hosting platform includes DDoS protection, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), high-end SSD-based SAN storage, daily backups, and a strong uptime-oriented hosting setup.

The company is visible in network records through AS42553 / ENAVN-AS, registered to Fionia IT ApS in Denmark. RIPE/BGP records connect ENAVN-AS with Danish network references and upstream/import relationships including GlobalConnect and Telia. Some public BGP collectors show AS42553 as not visible in the global routing table around early May 2026, so the ASN footprint should be interpreted carefully.

A formal 100% uptime guarantee is not offered in the terms. The terms avoid guaranteeing uninterrupted service or 100% uptime, while the hosting platform itself is built around protected Danish infrastructure, daily backups, and high availability. For customers, this means the technical foundation is suitable for Danish shared hosting, but the SLA language is conservative rather than aggressive.

✍️ Customer Support

Support is available through a ticket/contact form, email, knowledgebase, abuse reporting form, and network-status page. The contact workflow includes Support and Abuse department selection, priority levels, attachments, and abuse categories such as copyright infringement, trademark infringement, phishing, malware, spam, illegal content, terms violations, and other reports.

The knowledgebase is useful for a provider of this size, with categories covering ordering and billing, Cloud Virtual Server, cPanel, domains, email, SSL certificates, and webhotel topics. Customers can find practical help for mail setup, DNS, PHP, FTP/FileZilla, cPanel tasks, SSL, and domain management.

A dedicated status page tracks service availability and incidents, which is a positive sign for transparency and operational communication.

🔨 Control Panel

The main web hosting and mail hosting platform uses cPanel, which is one of the strongest points for customers who want a familiar and widely supported hosting interface. Web hosting customers also get online file management, resource overview, SSH access, one-click installers, MySQL/MariaDB tools, selectable PHP versions, and backup history.

Domain customers get a client control panel for domain overview, renewal status, DNSSEC setup for supported domains such as .dk and .com, DNS records, forwarding, aliases, and other domain operations. Diskhotel uses a separate web-based control panel with Mac and Windows app support.

🎯 Conclusion

enavn.dk is a practical Danish hosting provider for customers who want local hosting, Danish support, cPanel-based web hosting, mail hosting, domain services, DNS management, SSL certificates, Microsoft 365 Exchange, and simple storage products. The strongest advantages are cPanel, Danish hosting centers, SSD-backed infrastructure, LiteSpeed, DDoS/IPS protection, daily backups, 21-day web hosting backup history, integrated mail options, and a helpful knowledgebase.

The main caution is the conservative SLA position. The company has a solid operational setup, but the terms do not promise uninterrupted service or 100% uptime. The Cloud Virtual Server area also looks partly legacy or inactive from a product-ordering perspective. For classic web hosting, email, domains, DNS, and Danish small-business hosting, enavn.dk remains a credible and straightforward option.
