According to the agreement signed with the international organization ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) on the provision of domain names and addresses on the Internet, UZINFOCOM is the sole integrator of the ccTLD.UZ domain of Uzbekistan.On July 30, 2002, the UZINFOCOM Center for the Development and Implementation of Computer and Information Technologies was established. All computer equipment and networks of all government bodies were serviced by this state unitary enterprise (SUE), including information security.
On August 29, 2017, UZINFOCOM was transformed into a single integrator for the creation and support of state information systems and re-registered as a limited liability company to work in public-private partnership projects.
