😠 I left a very positive review here in 2009, but sadly in the past 12 months AxisHost has gone downhill for reasons unknown. Several times the server was down, and the server info paghe had no details on what was wrong.
However, much more problematic is the fact that email became seriously broken on the server I was on. I took the time to diagnose the problem with several different email addresses to verify that the problem was with AxisHost and filed a ticket that took several days before I got a response. The details were clearly not read and I got a stock answer that it was not their problem. My limit was reached when emails I sent to several different people in different organisations arrived 6 weeks after they were sent.
I have now moved to a different host and can no longer stand by my original review, so would suggest that AxisHost is avoided.

😠 I purchases 3 domains with axishost was not sent my renewal notices I wanted to transfer my domains and they did not respond to my support tickets their live support is always OFFLINE. I had to post in a another forum just to get a response from someone who was so rude and acted like I was an idiot and didnt know how to look in my spam folder for the emails...emails I never got not even inmy spam folder.
Needless to say last year I was forced to renew my domain because they had expired and could not be transfered I was never notified I was near my expiration date or that they would automatically be renwed and my card would br charged. So I would be forced into renewing. This year I decided to transfer my 3 domains to namecheap ONE sucessfully transfered the other 2 did not because i was never sen the epp keys.
I opened a support ticket about not receiving two of the keys and a week went by with not a single response. No matter what time of day or night I checked the online [read more...]

😁 I've been a customer with Axishost (and Tine Peters) for several years, and earlier with her previous company. In between this I tried a couple of UK based companies. Their pricing is very good for normal websites, the features they offer are fairly standard, nothing astonishing, but solid and simple to access (I host 7 sites for a total of 6 dollars a month... very good I think).
I have to say that in all these years the best thing about Axishost is that if a problem occur (and yes, in the real world problem occur sooner or later, sometimes it's been my fault, sometimes problems caused by mail being blocked by outside companies), there has always been a real person there who knows what they talk about (a rarity in this day and age) and problems have been resolved in a matter of 2-4 hours without fail.
Pricing is excellent to my mind (yes, there are free options, but you get what you pay for!), and uptime has never been a problem. There are occasional downtime if a new server [read more...]

Web Host AxisHOST Buys BuyAVPS - Web hosting and colocation provider AxisHOST (axishost.com) announced on Monday it has acquired virtual private server solutions provider BuyAVPS (buyavps.com).
AxisHOST has made major changes to BuyAVPS as part of the acquisition. Most notably, BuyAVPS now maintains a more robust service level agreement, including a 99.99 percent uptime guarantee and maximum latency of 85ms, says the company. "When we initially looked to acquire BuyAVPS, we had to create an iron-clad plan to deal with a number of service problems that have resulted from financial constraints of the previous owners," says Tina Peters, GM of AxisHOST. 😠 I was most recently a customer with AxisHost for many years. But eventually, I discovered all my bandwidth allotment was being eaten up by Asian sites whose IP addresses should have been more closely monitored through their Firewalls. I decided to leave Axist Host, the beginning of June 2009. They cancelled my account, effective June 23, 2009 and still submitted an invoice for July's monthly premium and received the money for July's premium via PayPal. I exchanged emails with Tina Peters, the Pres of Axishost who claims she is rightfully entitled to the monies. There are tons of Web Hosting Companies out there, including. Microsoft, who will host your doamin for free. This company and this woman who heads it is a disgrace and an embarrassment. Complaints have been lodged with the State Attorney General's Office of Michigan as well as the BBB who handles the Grand Rapids area. By the way, Axishost does have an F rating with the BBB. Do yourself a favor, STAY AWAY from Axishost!
