To register and obtain a .ad domain name, there are two entities involved in the Principality of Andorra:The OMPA (Andorra Trademarks and Patents Office), for administrative purposes:
trademark registration
registration of the domain derived from the brand
management and invoicing of registrations and renewals
administrative and billing contacts
Andorra Telecom, for technical purposes:
management of the technical form filled out by the customer with their DNS and technical contact
domain delegation to customer informed DNS (we do not offer DNS Hosting)
The other great service we offer is internet. The commitment to fiber optic broadband as a universal service in 2008 made us an internationally pioneering country , an aspect later confirmed in 2014 with the blackout of copper. Andorra Telecom maintains its commitment to constant innovation. In 2017, we tackled the renewal of the entire fiber optic network across the country, which meant the complete renewal of ONTs , the devices that users have installed at their homes, and OLTs, which provide service to multiple clients.
Traditional telecommunications services are complemented by other products that allow data storage both in data centers, in the cloud and in other innovative systems to manage fleets. Likewise, we have started a process of economic diversification to open up to new activities and markets, either alone or with strategic alliances with other companies.
