ADETIC, the Agence de Développement des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication, is a Chadian public administrative institution created under Law No. 012/PR/2014 of March 14, 2014. It operates under the ministry responsible for telecommunications and the digital economy and has a central role in the development of Chad’s national digital infrastructure. Adoum Djimet Saboun serves as Director General, assisted by Deputy Director General Abdraman Tom.

ADETIC is not a conventional commercial web hosting provider. Its activities concentrate on .TD Domain Registry services, national Internet infrastructure, data-center development, fiber-optic networks, Internet exchange infrastructure, public-sector information systems, community Internet access and digital training. Consequently, customers will not encounter the usual catalog of Shared Hosting, VPS, Dedicated Servers or Reseller Hosting associated with a commercial hosting company.

Its closest connection to the hosting and domain market is management of Chad’s .TD country-code top-level domain. The .TD extension dates back to November 3, 1997. Responsibility originally belonged to Telecommunications Internationales du Tchad and later moved to SOTEL TCHAD after restructuring of the telecommunications sector. Management subsequently passed to ADETIC, with the international delegation transfer completed in 2018.

Domain administration has a dedicated position inside the organization, with Tomboye Ibrahim responsible for the Directorate of Domain Names and IP Addresses. ADETIC consequently handles an important part of the technical and administrative framework behind Chad’s national namespace, including registry, DNS and WHOIS functions.

For companies and individuals interested specifically in Chad’s national Internet identity, Domain Registration is therefore the most relevant service connected with ADETIC. Registrations can pass through the corresponding registration channels, while the registry maintains the infrastructure required for the .TD namespace itself.

Another important part of ADETIC’s work is TCHADIX, Chad’s Internet Exchange Point. TCHADIX enables telecommunications operators and Internet service providers to exchange domestic traffic inside the country rather than routing that traffic unnecessarily through international networks. This improves local traffic efficiency, reduces latency and decreases dependence on external transit for communication between Chadian networks.

ADETIC also participates extensively in national fiber deployment. Ministries and other public institutions have been connected through fiber infrastructure, while community multimedia centers and telecenters extend Internet access and digital services beyond the best-connected urban areas. Its wider role includes modernization of government IT infrastructure, interoperability between public information systems and technical training.

The National Data Center is another major component of this strategy. It is designed to keep important government information and digital services within national infrastructure while strengthening availability, security, continuity and data sovereignty.

The company website is primarily available in French. No complete English-language version exists, making the service less convenient for international organizations researching .TD registration or potential cooperation with ADETIC.

💰 Price & Cost

ADETIC does not operate a conventional retail hosting business, so there are no normal Shared Hosting, VPS or Dedicated Server packages with monthly or annual hosting prices.

There is also no standardized retail .TD pricing structure on the main ADETIC website comparable with the checkout systems used by commercial registrars. The effective cost of registering a .TD domain can depend on the registration channel used.

Conventional hosting refund policies, money-back guarantees and hosting-oriented payment terms do not apply because ADETIC does not sell mass-market hosting subscriptions.

🏢 Data Center

Infrastructure is one of the strongest parts of ADETIC’s activity. The National Data Center is intended to provide secure local infrastructure for public-sector data, government applications and digital services while reducing dependence on infrastructure outside Chad.

During February 2026, ADETIC, the National Agency for Computer Security and Electronic Certification and TECHSO-GROUP began a comprehensive security audit and certification process for the National Data Center. The work covers both physical and logical security and includes preparation for certification against international standards before full production use.

A separate backup site forms part of the infrastructure, adding disaster-recovery and business-continuity capabilities for important government systems.

Technical work around the facility has also involved Huawei (huawei.com) together with the Project for the Modernization of Electronic Communications Infrastructure.

At the national network level, TCHADIX keeps more Internet traffic inside Chad and enables direct interconnection between participating providers. Combined with ADETIC’s fiber infrastructure, this creates a stronger technical basis for local content, local services and future hosting development inside the country.

The .TD DNS infrastructure is distributed internationally rather than depending on a single server or location. Authoritative service includes anycastdns1.nic.td, anycastdns2.nic.td, ns-td.afrinic.net and pch.nic.td, with IPv4 and IPv6 support across parts of the platform. This distributed structure improves resilience for the national domain.

ADETIC’s own website currently uses infrastructure associated with PlanetHoster and PlanetCloud in France. This hosting environment is separate from the National Data Center and should not be confused with Chad’s government data-center infrastructure.

ADETIC does not offer a commercial web-hosting uptime guarantee. Availability and continuity are addressed through the National Data Center, backup infrastructure and distributed .TD DNS architecture rather than through a retail hosting SLA.

✍️ Customer Support

ADETIC can be contacted directly by telephone, email and the website contact form.

The main contact address is adetic@adetic.td, while +235 66 86 55 86 is used for general and technical communication. The same telephone number is associated with technical administration of the .TD registry, together with batran.mahamat@adetic.td.

Administrative .TD matters also use abatcha.moussa@adetic.td and telephone number +235 63 31 90 90.

Support is oriented toward institutional services, registry administration, infrastructure and technical inquiries rather than the billing, ticketing and account-management model normally associated with a commercial hosting provider.

🔨 Control Panel

There is no conventional hosting control panel such as cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin because ADETIC does not provide standard Shared Hosting, VPS or Dedicated Server accounts.

The .TD service instead relies on dedicated registry, DNS and WHOIS systems, while domain owners normally manage their registrations through the relevant registration channel or registrar.

🎯 Conclusion

ADETIC is best considered Chad’s national digital-infrastructure and .TD registry authority rather than a traditional hosting company.

Its main strengths come from its official responsibility for the .TD namespace, development of national fiber infrastructure, operation of TCHADIX and the construction of a National Data Center supported by backup and disaster-recovery infrastructure. Together, these activities make ADETIC an important part of Chad’s Internet ecosystem.

For organizations specifically requiring a .TD domain, ADETIC sits at the center of the technical and administrative framework behind the extension. The distributed authoritative DNS infrastructure and formal international delegation provide the foundation required for reliable operation of the national namespace.

Customers looking for Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, VPS, Dedicated Servers or a conventional hosting control panel will still need a separate commercial hosting provider. ADETIC’s value is instead in domain-registry management, government infrastructure and development of Chad’s wider Internet environment.

Its main limitations for international users are the absence of standard retail pricing, conventional hosting plans and a complete English-language website. Within its actual institutional role, however, ADETIC remains one of the key organizations responsible for Chad’s digital infrastructure and national domain-name system.
