I cannot recommend 3 Owl as a hosting provider strongly enough. The support they have given me over the years has been fantastic and I have nothing but praise for the services they provide. From the easy to use control panel to the speed with which they return my email to the way in which they don't clutter my inbox with spam, they have exceeded my expectations. I have used many different providers with varying degree of contentment but now I will not host any of my sites anywhere else. Great work...

3owl has it's best user-friendly customer friendly relation. I appreciate the immediate response after I opened the ticket. But my issue is not resolved. Site is throwing a CPU Exceeded message and the files at that directory for example domain.com/check, it just gets suspended. Sometimes, home dir. The issue sometimes resolved automatically, sometimes, I need to play some folder rename, sub-domain re allocation techniques to keep the site up and working. But other things, including their service, user-friendly environment, is very awesome. I just want them to fix this CPU Exceeded issue, so that I can continue hosting with them :)

I use the 3owl free hosting plan, and as a small company I cannot fault them. I do not need an all singing all dancing website, and honestly wouldn't know how to manage one. The customer support I receive is excellent and very patient considering I am not the most computer literate user. If you are looking for a free hosting for a small concern I would recommend it wholeheartedly. Richard

For the price, I feel 3owl does a great job. You can have all the features as a paid account for free - unless you have a heavy traffic website. The control panel is easy to navigate through and now it seems the price went up a bit, but when I locked in with a price it was $9.99 for the premium plan and $14.99 for the domain. The people running the support get back within a reasonable amount of time. I would recommend 3owl to my friends and family as well!

I've been with 3OWL.com for close to 2 years and is on their free hosting, hoping to upgrade when I've enough traffic to my sites.
Overall, I find 3OWL.com very responsive and professional. It Support staff is VERY meticulous and explain things in VERY finite details and vey easy to understand and follow.
Server speed is generally acceptable but the great stuff are the CPANEL, with easy install of most softwares. It's CPANEL has Stats, which is a good thing, but of course we can have our own Google analytics or others.
No Adverts....absolutely no adverts for the Free Hosting. Isn't this such a professional offer? You bet.

3owl does not give support to their free users AT ALL. Plus, every night, they turn off everyone's databases, which means there will be a database connection error till 2:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. There are also white screens every so often!

Everything was fine up to a week ago, after I upgraded my package to premium. The cost is $20 a year which is not bad. The only problem is that now, my website is showing as Account Unavailable. You can see the rest of the site but guess what? I was totally wiped out off the search engines due to this and my affiliate site is losing money like crazy. Also tech support hasn't been very helpful. They already made non-relevant suggestions to me (I work as an IT). Tomorrow will make a week and this is still the case so therefore, my website is completely useless. My message is, if you're going to run an affiliate website to make money, re-think the 3owl option.

Bad hosting, Bad customer support, Low uptime none of my websites is 24/7 Huge DDOS attack on 3owl Result website down. In this month my website was only 10 Hours online!
The features are maah can better. I wanted to run a Pinme script but that resulted in a error TO_MANY_USER_CONNECTIONS in MYSQL. And always service temporarily unavaible Always! If u reload the page u get Offline duo to high load, But the Apache server has only 2.00 LOAD!! This host SUCKS!!!!! Trying to find an other host, This host is not flexible and not worth the money. I just used this a few times and every time it sucked. They got so many complaints. There free service, they complain to help people with. They say their paid service gets better customer support. I doubt that. Free hosting means to test or try out. If there is no support for free hosting, then how is their paid going to be any better? That is just plain stupid to me. I would not even think of trying or using their paid service for the attitudes they have for their free users. They are the worst hosting service on the planet.

It still not as good either. Right now after the gave me a complimentary upgrade to premium hosting. I get a cpu exceeded redirect to their main page of 3owl. Now that is not fair. I read the FAQ about it and they say to upgrade to keep from getting the CPU Exceeded error, but I got it anyways. If I keep on getting it, I might just leave, and not use any hosting until I find some work. This is not good for customers. I will give [read more...]

😠 Clearly a fraud page. I wanted to shift my domain to them. They did not talk about costs whatsoever, but after I gave them my Auth Code, invoice (20$) came instantly and next day the reminder...

🗨 3owl indeed offers unlimited bandwidth / disk space however it is a shared web-hosting service, which means they host thousands of websites that are sharing and running on same servers. They must protect the health of the server as well as all the websites by making sure there are no malicious users/scripts abusing the shared CPU, bandwidth, disk...etc
So if your website grows to a size of thousands of daily visitors then you're expected to move it to a VPS or a dedicated server to better serve your clients.

It only supports MySQL_* extensions which are a huge risk to security of both the database and your site. NOT good. My customer service was awful, they did not explain this to me, I had to figure it out after they led me in circles and blamed connection issues on my own code/development/configuration practices! "
