Heart Internet - worth it for the support staff alone
Have been with Heart Internet over 4 years now and been very impressed with them.
Had a couple of issues over the 4 years but they've been really good and sorted them out fairly quickly - even at 4am!
Have used a few other hosting companies but they've not been as good and especially regards the support team.
I was concerned that they want you to put support requests through the control panel but 95% of the time they've resolved issues or at least responded within an hour.
The response is usually really good too - unlike experiences I've had with others (eg. 123reg) where you get an automated response and then a copy and paste reply. It's almost like they only have second line support and not first line canon fodder!
Only quibbles are they charge extra for paying by credit card each month instead of standing order (come on guys, sort that one out) and they are very quick to disable access to your features if you don't pay dead on time!
