Previously a UK branch of WebHostingBuzz, Jolt gradually became a private UK-based hosting service company in 2007 after undergoing an MBO. Their aim is to deliver web hosting solutions for customers based in the UK and Europe. Jolt is quite a new hosting provider although their brand is named after a popular former server hosting company.

Jolt is also a green company as they use energy efficient servers while using blade, microblade or Quattro server units generated by Dell or Supermicro.

Shared hosting plans are based on SSD drives. With pro backup available and standard daily backups, these shared hosting packages include Sectigo SSL certificates, as well as firewall and antivirus for online protection. Unlimited features are also included. These include:

  • Unlimited Max FTP accounts;
  • Unlimited Max Email Lists;
  • Unlimited Max Sub Domains;
  • Unlimited Max parked Domains;
  • Unlimited Max Databases;
  • Unlimited websites (for the advanced plan);

Reseller plans are white labeled and include the following components: WebHostManager and WHMCS. Speed and reliability are guaranteed with daily backups, multi-gigabit uplinks with DDoS protection and SSD drives in RAID10.

VPS servers are divided in VPS on Cloud and Magento Cloud Hosting. Cloud VPS servers are powered by Dell hardware and Intel Xeon E5 CPU with RAID10 SSD disk space. Besides the basic-level plan that provides no control panel, the others are controlled via cPanel.

Generated by Dell and Supermicro Enterprise hardware, dedicated servers use new bare metal hardware. With high bandwidth allowance, remote management features and the possibility to configure add-ons for server upgrade.
