Nov 18, 2005 : Web Host Legend Acquires Data Center

📅 - Web hosting and Internet service provider Legend Communications (legend.co.uk) announced on Friday that it had acquired a data center facility in London's Docklands, known as iP House.

"IP House is conveniently located in London Docklands and has great IP and E1 connectivity to Telehouse and Telecity," says Keith Jones, group sales director for Legend Communications. "The prime location and resilient connections combined with the product offering mean that Legend Communications is able to effectively compete within the hosting marketplace to the ultimate benefit of our customers."

The company is offering rack space to new customers at a 50 percent discount as part of a limited time offer. The offer is comprised of a 900mm Dell Rack with 24-hour on-site security and access.

"Legend Communications recently acquired iP House and has launched a half-price rack space campaign to celebrate the official opening of the multi-million pound data center and to firmly establish our position as a rack hosting provider," says Jones. "This is only one facet of our business and we can also provide full managed hosting solutions should our customers require it."

Legend Communications is a publicly listed company based in Lancaster, UK.
