ICANN Formalizes Relationship with ccTLD Manager for Guatemala

📅 -

ICANN has announced today that it has signed an accountability frameworkwith the country code top level domain (ccTLD) manager for .gt--Guatemala,Universidad del Valle de Guatemala.

The Accountability Framework program provides two mechanisms by which ccTLDmanagers can formalise their relationship with ICANN. The first is anAccountability Framework document that sets out the obligations of a ccTLDmanager and ICANN. It also covers dispute resolution and termination and isdesigned for ccTLD managers requiring a formal document with ICANN.

The second mechanism is an exchange of letters between ICANN and the ccTLDmanager designed for those for whom a simple statement of commitment is moreappropriate.

Signed accountability framework and exchange of letters documents can befound at https://www.icann.org/cctlds/agreements.html.
