Nov 13, 2008 : Power DNN Doubles Capacity

📅 - Power DNN will more than double its hosting capacity in business continuity and managed services provider CoSentry's Tier IV data center in Omaha, Nebraska, a primary network hub for the larger CoSentry Resiliency Network, helping Power DNN securely host services for the DotNetNuke (http://www.dotnetnuke.com) community.

According to the company's Wednesday announcement in Las Vegas at the DevConnections (http://www.devconnections.com) conference, the new arrangement will ensure that Power DNN will not be limited by its facilities or network as it nears its significant expansion planned in 2009, driven by the success of the DNN open-source web application framework.

"We have now experienced 12 straight quarters of client and revenue growth and see nothing but acceleration in 2009," Power DNN founder and chief executive officer Tony Valenti said in a statement. "The CoSentry platform enables us to provide our clients with one of the industry's best facilities with unparalleled power and network infrastructure."

According to the company, CoSentry has recently added multi-million dollar power and infrastructure upgrades helping keep the company's leading position in network management.

Under the terms of the agreement, Power DNN will double its footprint in the facility and has also reserved the right to add considerable adjoining space. In February, Power DNN launched its Atomic SLA program for enterprise DotNetNuke installations, increasing the reliability of the open-source framework to help drive corporate adoption.

"The DotNetNuke community has just begun to realize its potential," added John Grange, Power DNN's Chief Operating Officer, "and the macro economic environment is driving larger enterprise clients to understand the value of our advanced service offering."

Founded in 2000, CoSentry also provides managed Internet services from its data centers in Kansas City, Missouri; Omaha, Nebraska; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In early October began expanding its Kansas City facility, adding nearly 4,000 square feet of raised floor space to meet the increasing need for services.

"It has been very exciting to be part of an evolution within an industry that is growing at such a dramatic rate," CoSentry lead solutions consultant Rod Peterson said in a statement. "Our core business has been corporate enterprise and large commerce engines, so we have had to adjust to this phenomenon of intelligent, assertive businesses that are sourcing powerful stand alone platforms."
