ICANN Accepts Meeting Proposals from Portugal and Puerto Rico

ICANN has announced today that it has accepted proposals for the first two rounds of ICANN Meetings scheduled in 2007.

The ICANN Meeting 26-30 March 2007 shall be held in Lisbon, Portugal and the ICANN Meeting 25-29 June 2007 shall be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Proposals were submitted in response to ICANN's Request for Proposals to Host an ICANN Meeting.

In all consideration, both proposals were evaluated by the ICANN Meetings Committee and unanimously recommended to the ICANN Board. The adopted resolutions were passed by the ICANN Board on 25 September 2006. (Meeting notes and Minutes)
