According to the Thursday announcement, the new dedicated server offerings bring the company's total number of dedicated offerings to include more than 30 types of servers.

The new offerings are part of a shift in the company's focus to dedicated servers, presumably from a past more focused on shared hosting. All OLM's dedicated servers can be customized during the purchasing process through the company's online ordering wizard.

OLM has posted an information page for its dedicated server offerings.

The company's dedicated offerings now range from budget servers starting at $29.95 per month to high-end servers for between $199 and $399 per month. Servers exist in single core, dual core and quad core processor configurations with both Intel and AMD models, including Intel's recently-introduced Clovertown and Harpertown processors.

OLM's dedicated servers now come with SATA, SCSI and SAS disk drives, in standard and RAID configurations. The company also offers KVM over IP service, enabling users to control their servers remotely.

Thursday, the company also launched a dedicated server reseller program, offering discounts of more than 20 percent to qualified resellers.

"As dedicated servers continue to evolve to become a more integral part of our business, we are making our base plans more customizable, reliable, and competitive in the global hosting market," said Chris Silkman, OLM.net business manager, in the company's press release. "Our budget dedicated servers, starting at less than $30 per month, have already smashed records and jumped an important cost hurdle for small businesses. We see our mission-critical higher end offerings as equally important to maintaining OLM.net's role as a flag carrier for this market."

With the dedicated server business becoming one of the hot points for competition, the web hosting business has seen many recent announcements regarding new dedicated server offerings. Earlier this week, web host AIT announced that it had added new dedicated servers to its portfolio.
