(http://www.rmx.com) recently opened itsInternet-based services to the public, making it possible for any retaileror supplier in the fuel and convenience channel to register as a user at itsWeb site. In preparation for opening its Web platform to all retailers andsuppliers, RMX has fashioned a unique strategic alliance with CSPInformation Group (http://www.cspnet.com), a leading provider of news and information to the fuel and convenience retail industry.

The alliance with CSP will create the fuel and convenience industry's onlyfully integrated media offering, linking print, e-mail and onlineinformation with the ability to buy and sell products through the RMXMarketplace. Approximately 20,000 current RMX users and CSP subscribers willbe the first to receive a joint CSP and RMX industry newsletter, providing adaily review of top industry stories with supplier product and promotionoffers.
"The integrated links make our media alliance offerings extremely valuable.Readers link directly from supplier offers on the CSP Daily News e-mail toCategory Central, a storehouse of category management and productinformation, powered by RMX," stated Ken McElrath, RMX vice president ofmarketing. Category Central, an area now open to the public, is also avalue-added feature of the private extranets RMX builds for retail chainsand other suppliers. At Category Central, retailers can find detailedproduct information and the ability to purchase items from the RMXMarketplace. "This partnership creates a win-win-win for retailers, brandedchains and suppliers alike, as communication and commerce are dramaticallyimproved for all," continued McElrath.
CSP will also augment online news and content in other public-access areasof the RMX platform, including: Info Center, an online news desk, industrylibrary and community; and Marketplace, a secure exchange where fuel andconvenience retailers and suppliers buy and sell goods and services. "Themomentum at RMX is building rapidly," stated RMX president Nancy Reyda."Close to 20,000 users will now have daily access to content, connectionsand commerce at RMX - ten times more than just six months ago.
