😃 I was searching for simple web hosting provider which provides some decent basic features but they provide plenty of attractive features and easy to use. I only find some hosting provider like Hostinger, Siteground, Domainracer who provides a variety of features. I highly recommend them if you want variety of features at low cost.

😠 Despues de mas de 15 años con directnic cambio de gestor de dominios expongo el caso que me esta pasando hoy dia y por lo que no lo recomiendo.
Mi secreteraria por error devolvio el pago de dos dominios y un hosting. ME BLOQUEARON todo el panel, todos los dominios pagados y por pagar !!! todo no podia acceder prebio pago de la deuda, la realice por transferencia y cuatro dias despues siguen sin funcionar los dominio que pague. Repito despés de más de 15 años los dejo

😠 Super slow and mostly ineffective and/or misinforming customer service. Super complicated layout, with hard to find dashboard, unclear pricing, with lower price options hidden. Possibly a good option, for highly skilled web designers, but I would advice everybody else to stay clear. No flexibility in changing hosting plan after 30 days of payment.

😠 just got off the phone with cust serv. My domain name was outdated for several years but they were able to pull up my cust# I was instructed to reset my password and the domain name was still available and that this would turn it on again. Paid the yearly fee and can not access domain. Called back and I asked for a assistance and recommendations and was told to hire a web sight builder. I was told 20 min after I paid I was not able to get a refund. Thanks for taking my money, leading me on with false statements and not offering a useful product. SCAM! They take your money and run! I am now posting a buyer beware on any available web sight with reviews!!!! (Not just FB either)

I have had accounts with at least 150 domains in them with directnic since 2001. The service has always been exceptional and the security is great as well. The staff is always friendly and responsive and will pursue ongoing issues diligently when needed. I still say the older admin shells worked better but they are constantly making improvements.

Purchase an upgraded package, no performance increase. Purchase a dedicated IP, never get one, support insists that you have one when you clearly do not. Remove dedicated IP, supervisor then moves you to a internal localhost address so you are no longer online.
Call again, get told you are being expedited and will be online within the hour. That was over 72 hours ago. I'm still offline. They have shut down my business and are holding my domain hostage.

😠 DirectNIC is hands down the worst domain registrar and hosting provider I've had the displeasure of working with. They double-charged me several times, but that's minor compared to the repeated banning of my site with no waning or notification. When my WordPress install became infected, they simply disabled my account. No email notification, no phone call, no explanation whatsoever. All that my site itself read was "This account is suspended," which is extra awesome considering it is a resume website and I was job hunting at the time. That really looks good.
When I called to complain, I was told it was taken care of. The next day, still offline. I called again and was told that someone must have "forgotten" to reenable it. What a joke. No courtesy refund offer, no apology for lack of communication, nothing. Did I mention they delete ALL of your website data after two weeks f suspension? Even if you've paid a year in advance? Worst company ever.
When I called to complain, I was told it was taken care of. The next day, still offline. I called again and was told that someone must have "forgotten" to reenable it. What a joke. No courtesy refund offer, no apology for lack of communication, nothing. Did I mention they delete ALL of your website data after two weeks f suspension? Even if you've paid a year in advance? They lack the ability to evolve with the times. Look at the site, it's the same site for the past 11 years. They are not hard workers, trust me. If they were, you'd see innovations, better pricing, and most of all, amazing customer service.
Instead, you see a stale site that lacks functionality. A support "team" that sounds like it's just him in his bathroom and a ticket system that is so terrible, the "techs" basically tell you how you are wrong about this or that every single time. They are not trying to help and they do not care to succeed. They are just trying to survive at this point.
Grand Caymans? Why the Grand Caymans? Because the people are so tech-savvy over there or because this guy is a complete moron and does not understand a single thing about customer service or support. It took me 2 years to transfer 10 domains from them simply because their system kept putting my domains into HIGH SECURITY when I was specifically changing them to NORMAL SECURITY. [lee mas...]

Their customer "service" department is difficult to reach or get a knowledgable answer out of. Don't even bother with the "Live Chat" feature - never once have I found anyone on it, though it always says someone is available, and I have always attempted using it before submitting a trouble ticket, which is about a monthly occurence. Oh, and don't bother them on the weekend or in the evening (you know: high traffic times when a crash really hurts). They're not there then.
I will not post any revealing account information here for fear of retribution.

The people that support you are very inexperienced to the point that every question take a inquiry to their “developers”, or you get the answer “I am the only one around and don’t have time for that question”. Oh, and when I tried to transfer my domain away from Directnic, even when I got an email stating that they will do it, they don’t! You have to exercise the procedure that overrides the hosting company that holds your domain hostage.

😠 After years of hosting personal family oriented files Directnic removed those files without a whisper. After repeated attempts to determine the cause their tech support erroneously informed me that an e-mail was sent prior to inform me that I was over the filesize and storge limits. I created an email filter for the Directnic coresspondence and assured them no such communication occurred. Fortunately I did not trust their servers as the sole repository for files containing images of family--because they were unable to restore those files. Though I stood by them through Katrina--they dropped me in its aftermath. Now that I have grown beyond their meager hosting options the only thing I'll miss is the time spent trying to convince that representative not to lie about my circumstances and recognize "human kindness and being" . . .

😁 Never had a problem whith them after 8 years of relationship. Renewing or registering is easy and fast. The customer response was fast whenever I needed. It is Ok to my needs.

😠 Expensive and not user friendly, will not renew domains or hosting. Only reason to do business with DirectNIC was a promo offer which as expired.
