A2 Hosting, a Linux website hosting provider, yesterday announced the release of their new software auto-installer Softaculous. The company says that Softaculous gives its customers the ability to easily install 140+ software solutions to their hosting account with one click.

It articulates that Softaculous is included with every new web hosting, reseller hosting and dedicated hosting account offered by the company. It is accessed by logging into the cPanel control panel. VPS hosting customers can also add the solution to their account for a small monthly fee.

The company explains that Softaculous' software library includes blogs, CMSes, wikis, forums and eCommerce scripts each that can be installed in under 60-seconds, with one click. Many popular programs never before available as one-click installs at the company can be installed with Softaculous. These include Magento, Elgg, Dolphin and MediaWiki. Numerous popular applications already offered as one click installs by it are still available with Softaculous including Drupal, Joomla and WordPress.

CEO Bryan Muthig commented on the release: "We go out of our way to make our service as user-friendly as possible for our customers. Our customers were requesting a solution that offered more software options that could be installed to their account with a single click compared to what we were currently offering. That played a major role in our decision to offer Softaculous."
