😠 Dealing with this company got more frustrating with every communication. They lacked any desire to go a step further when there was an issue. They planned outages and never let customers know and when there was a real outage they would not acknowledge the issue unless you could get staff online and then they would. When the issue happened on the weekend that just doubles if not triples the time before they fixed their systems. It was the worst hosting company I have ever dealt with and biggest mistake in the 16 years I have been doing web pages.

😠 Absolutely Terrible - The worst ever
iHostasp.net have been consistent over the years. Consistently bad! Every time I think it can't possibly get worse, they prove that it can.
Their servers are continually suffering from some kind of failure, attack, crash etc.
Support is non existent. Office hours only, and if you are lucky an email response within 24 hours. Most of the time the support portal does not even work.
Their mail server is constantly slow, or not working at all.
Websites take ages to load.
Not recommended at all try arvixe instead for a better solution.

😞 Hosting is slow but reliable. Email is total shite!
The sites on the reseller account are OK. Not super speedy but ploddingly reliable.
Just don't host ANY email there. Their server is often off-line or so backed up due to overloading that it takes me more than 3 minutes just to queue an email to send and it can take 20 minutes to get an email sent to me, more if it's large. At least once a week the SMTP server is just offline for 15-20 minutes, often up and down all day. Trouble tickets just say "it's overloaded and will be fine in a few minutes" but they have handed me that line at least 10 times and never made the server better.
If they would just fix that email server my opinion of them would go up a lot. But they seem to think that if they keep closing my trouble tickets that the problem will go away.

😁 I have been using Ihost since March 2010. The service has been stable, I have since added two more sites to my account. Last October one of my DNN installations was hacked. I contacted the customer support and they were able to restored my site and upgraded my DNN to a new version that has security issue patched. Turns out older DNN version I was running had a huge security hole that allowed hackers to deface my site, thank god Ihost keeps daily backups and were able to bail me out.
Iām pleased with the service considering they are cheap.

I started working with them a couple of years ago for DotNetNuke hosting. The websites are slow first but that's due to the application shutting down if it's inactive.
The last 6-12 months we've been having more and more troubles, we already know the standard e-mail we get as a response. (see below)
It's the same standard mail over and over. They had good service, not the fastest, not the cheapest but OK.
Now the service is just lousy. They keep moving sites from one server to another. Databases are moved from one server to another. Monitoring of websites doesn't happen whatsoever. Although their mail says so.
We had a website that crashed due to hacking of the site, asked to recover the site to it's original state. It never worked again. We had to start from scratch because the backup never worked. Everytime a user logged in the site crashed although they always claimed that it worked and I kept sending the error [read more...]

😃 We've been hosting our DNN sites with them for more that 2 years. They offer 3 plans and 3 reseller plans as well, having the best price around. Customer service used to be great, though they do not respond on weekends and unfortunately, sites may go down frequently without someone around to help.
Servers are not fast and do not offer the keepalive service, so a site with poor traffic will take more that 15 seconds to respond if no page has been loaded for the last 20 minutes.
Control panel is one of the easiest I've used, it's the only one I have seen that allows you to automatically install DNN (all versions) with a single click. I'd be willing to pay a lot more for this service only if they offered a better support, more bandwith, better uptime and faster servers.

😁 I have been with IHOSTASP.NET for over two years. They have provided me with good service and have been very helpful on few occasions when I needed help. Currently I have two of their Hyper-V VPS servers running high traffic DNN sites, so far so good. I like the fact I can call and actually talk to a company employyes, not some outsourced call center.
