😠 I recently logged into my wordpress account, and received a message that the version I was using was now officially unsupported. I was using 3.9.40 (I know, but if it ain't broke). I wanted to upgrade to the newest version, 6.1, but was unable to do so, since my server only had PHP 5.6, released in 2014. When I inquired about moving to a new server, they told me they didn't have any. I repeated myself because surely that can't be true. You're a webhost that doesn't upgrade your servers? They assured me they understood and indeed, they had no newer servers onto which I could move, but they had a partner company they could put me in touch with. No thank you. I'll find a new hew host then.
In preparation for the move, I asked what my temp domain was, so I could access all my content while DNS was propagating to the new server. 8 hours after my email I received a response where they told me they did not provide one. 😠 Do not sign up with this company! 10 years ago they were awesome. Now their tech support is little more than voicemail and the response is always "It's been escalated" and "we're working on it.' Had a simple ticket in for a week and despite multiple calls and emails no one will give me a response. Our dog rescue organization has been shut down for a week (and still ongoing) because we can't get an answer.

😁 I moved to HostMySite from another company in 2008 and have had no problems since. It is difficult to get phone support, but email support is fine, and chat support is excellent and quick. They installed my SSL certificate without a problem. However, their "control panel" is cartoonish and some of the links are ads for additional services, rather than access to them. They have online reports, but you can only access them fully from a Windows computers.

😠 My domain has been suspended and my website has been down for a month due to hostmysite.com's incompetency, and the company has not provided information on when the issue might be resolved - if ever. When our nonprofit group transferred domain owners it had to be reported to ICANN which oversees domains. I later discovered that HostMySite had misspelled my email address and sent it to ICANN, which sends an email to the new owner that requires verification within 15 days. Since I never received the email sent to the wrong address, HostMySite got our domain suspended in mid-July, and our website has been down since then. Iβve spent many hours, spoken to many support techs, and repeatedly submitted documents and identification to HostMySite. Despite that I was told that the issue is now tied up in the company's legal department with no end in sight. 😠 Hostmysite has become a nightmare. I have been with the company for over twenty five years, but I'm leaving now. They only contact me to threaten to cancel my account. (because I was a few hundred meg over my limit due to a site back up or a mistake they made regards my email addresses) Today, they canceled six email addresses without informing me that I could create aliases to point those addresses to my new site created over 2.5 years ago. The problem is that the company seems to be run from India instead of Delaware now. The techs in Delaware want to help, but the people in India just do whatever stupid self destructive thing they want. NO MORE.

😠 The worst, in my opinion!!! This company does not follow through with you when your site is down or loading slowly (i.e. over a minute). They just don't seen to care at all!!!

I've hosted with hostmysite.com since 2004. They used to be a great company. There was a buyout a few years back and they have been a mess ever since. The control panel doesn't work well anymore. The ticketing system takes forever. When you call support it's a crap shoot whether you will get someone who knows what they are doing. Hosting error messages are resolved then they start happening again. So frustrating especially since they used to be so great.

😠 HostMySite is the Worst Hosting Company I Have Ever Done Business With!
HostMySite used to be a pretty decent company to work for up until about 16-18 months ago. Initially, their customer service started to go down hill. Then, they switched over to a new platform which broke their control panel and caused an array of problems. Now, I have to put in a ticket for just about everything (file permissions, creating databases, redirects, dsn configuration, etc...). Sometimes, a task that is simple as changing permissions on a file can take up to a week or more which is unacceptable. If the control panel worked, I could perform all of these tasks in under 5 minutes myself. These issues with the control panel have been going on for over 8 months and HostMySite keeps stating that they plan to have it resolved within the next 3-4 months. I'd stay away from this company at all costs.

😠 hostmysite used to be good but they have fallen far over the past couple years since getting bought out by Wachovia. Control Panel down more often than up, lack of knowledge on how to configure CF server, profound changes without notifying users, etc. Stay away from HMS at all costs

I've been with hostmysite.com since 2000. I was satisfied and recommended them to friends for so many years. The last two years have been rough. The service has declined and my recent experience has been horrible.
I cannot currently order a working hosting account. Since hostmysite.com switched over to CF9 not a single account I have set up works. I've spent 7 days troubleshooting the latest CF9 box with the tech support team just to get the DNS set up. None of the control panel items works on CF9 and they make no apologies for that.
This is my second shared CF9 hosting account and the first experience was worse. After the account was set up it took 5 days to get it actually working. Then it crashed the first day it was live.
It sad to see a good company go bad. Maybe this is just growing pains, but I don't want to waste hours of my time troubleshooting when it should just work
